Food was relatively cheap and relatively acceptable quality but service was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was rudely greeted by the hostess when I asked to sit outside with my dog. I was given the bare minimum of service when ordering and receiving my food and drink, and Marcela, my waitress, wasn't helpful at all when I had questions about the menu. My food got dropped off (without napkins) and then 45 minutes went by without any check up by anyone. I had to go inside when I wanted to leave, so I found my waitress and asked for a box and the check. She sighed when I had to ask again for a larger size box after the first one was too small. After receiving the box, I had to remind her I wanted to pay my bill. As I was waiting, I decided to tell her that I wasn't checked on in 45 minutes. Immediately she became hostile and defensive and blamed the hostess, saying that they aren't supposed to seat outside, but they made an exception for me. I received nothing but excuses and a half-effort apology before paying my bill and walking out the door. When I brought up my complaints, I explained them calmly and professionally and was met with nothing but a raised voice. Honestly, things like this happen, and I wouldn't be upset if the situation were different. But instead, I was met with immediate hostility and blame. This place wasn't dog friendly at all, and I would not recommend it to anyone. It is located near a lot of power lines, and is in an office complex. The result is sterile and no sense of identity. Not what you want in a cafe. Even if the service wasn't absolutely horrendous, nothing about Louis' Cafe is worth...
Read moreMy friends and I have eaten here a few times before and have enjoyed the food a lot to keep coming back. Unfortunately,We walked in today, Thursday, August 2nd at 1:45pm. I am aware they close at 3 so I felt 1hr and 15 min was plenty of time to eat. We walked in and the 3 girls that were serving did not acknowledge us. Not even eye contact. We stood awkwardly in the middle of the front while the taller server walked around us multiple times. After about 5 min one of them finally said “you can sit anywhere” we looked around the restaurant and there were two tables capable of fitting three people. But the both weren’t bussed. One of the servers left and the remaining two still paid no attention. The taller of the two started to vacuum and didn’t bus. I noticed one of the customers, in crutches, got out of his seat and hopped to a table to get silverware and expressed his distain for the tall server. She bussed the table but didn’t wipe it down. My friend said thank you to which she responded with a smug look. We finally sat ourselves and after about 5 min realized we weren’t welcome and left without even as much as a glance. I like the food every time we have come here but if I come back and see the servers working I will...
Read moreWe have always loved this place, coming in weekly. But after today I will never come back. I ordered a veggie skillet because I am vegetarian. The skillet came with 2 huge chunks of bacon in it so I told the waitress, she took the food back, then brought it back out and said “it’s not bacon it was a hash brown”. I told her I didn’t want it because I am a vegetarian and i knew it was bacon. She went back, then a second later I told her it was okay they don’t need to remake it. She rudely responded with “so you want me to have them throw away another one” how rude. I am a paying customer and visit the restaurant weekly always tipping more than 50% of the bill, The least they could do is be respectful and willing to make a problem right. On top of that, when we came a couple weeks ago, there was a metal chunk from the stove cleaning brush in my boyfriends food. We told the waitress, she apologized, and we moved on hoping it was just a one time accident. It’s really unfortunate that they would lose repeat business because they were not willing to make a...
