My intention is that they find out about a disappointing and humiliating situation that I experienced while working for this restaurant.
On June 19, I did my test day as a line cook in the restaurant, that day everything went very well and I completed my 8-hour shift properly.
At the end of my work day, I left my information attached for the payment of that day and informed Chef Ricardo that I would not be able to attend for a couple of days and kindly asked him to inform the Chef in charge Damian. since I was waiting for other job options and that later I would contact him to inform him if he would accept the job offer or not.
On Friday, June 23, I returned to the restaurant with the intention of thanking them for the job offer offered and informing them that I would not take it but unfortunately I suffered the greatest abuse and humiliation of my life.
I am a person of Hispanic origin and I still do not speak English fluently, so I decided to use my translator to be clear and precise but Sir Damian (Manager in Charge) attacked me in an absurd, uncontrolled way, with deplorable rudeness without any cause He did not allow me to speak or express myself and he took me out of the restaurant shouting. I feared for my integrity and I thought that he would even hit me.
Outside, an employee approached who heard the screams and intervened as a mediator and understood that my intention was only to thank for the opportunity and receive my payment.
Fortunately, she controlled Sir Damien, I told him what my intention was, to which he replied that he should come back the next day for my payment but he never apologized.
Today, June 24, I returned as he had requested but I did not receive my payment, he reluctantly made me fill out all my information again, telling me that I would not know when I would get my payment.
This situation affected my life psychologically and emotionally and I don't want it to happen to another person again.
I must clarify that the restaurant in general and employees were very kind and dear to me and the only exception...
Read moreTLDR: incredibly mediocre
We came here after finding this place in a search for “best patios in Golden”. We usually go to Woody’s when we are in Golden, but thought we should try something new. They were busy (Saturday afternoon - 3ish) but we were seated right away. After sitting at our table for about 15 minutes we were approached for our order. We ordered two beers and two burgers. About 15 minutes later a new waitress approached us and asked if we wanted to order drinks while we waited. We told her we had and that we were waiting for them. Our original waiter came over as he saw this (I think he realized he forgot about our drinks) and apologized for the wait. We told him we understood and saw that he was busy. They got the drinks right out after that. As we waited for our food we noticed it was kind of dirty (super dusty overhang from the window right above where we were sitting, shrimp on the floor, cheese on the table from the previous customer, etc.). We also had a good view into the kitchen and all of the cooks were wearing their masks under their chin so their mouths and noses were fully exposed while handling food. This doesn’t bother me that much (I understand there’s a lot that happens in restaurant kitchens that customers aren’t aware of, and that’s just part of the risk of eating out) but I know this would really upset a lot of people these days. The food came and both burgers were overcooked (we were never asked how we wanted them cooked) and just mediocre. Not bad, but nothing special. I also found a piece of plastic on my burger. Our waiter ended up comping the third beer we ordered because we had been patient about the wait time, but our bill still came out to be $50 (for just two burgers and two beers!) before tip (don’t worry, I still tipped 20%). I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience, but for a $50 lunch I’d expect to be blown away. We weren’t horribly disappointed but at the end both of us said “we should’ve just stuck...
