There are three elements to any dining experience: the service, the food, and the atmosphere.
The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a tasteful modern take on a classic country bar with a nicely decorated interior. My only complaint is that the music was a bit loud, but it was an otherwise excellent looking restaurant!
The food was also pretty good. While the portions were small for their prices, I was pleasantly surprised by just how good the food was!
However, the service is where the restaurant was lacking that night. I want to preface by saying that I don't know if my experience was exclusive to that specific waitor or if it was a normal experience. Nevertheless, it is the experience I had:
My date and I sat at our table and waited for about twenty minutes before we were seen. We had enough time to come up with our order, including an appetizer that we didn't receive for about 30 minutes. It then took an additional 30(ish) minutes for the rest of our food to come out. The only warning we were given about a delay with our food was about 5 to 10 minutes after placing our order. During this time, we finished two waters and set them at the corner of the table, hoping for a refill.
I don't want to sound nitpicky by being upset that a refill wasn't offered to us when we could have asked, but it was frustrating watching other servers do this for other tables. Ultimately, it took a little over an hour to get a small burger and a sandwich, and we only ended up getting our refills in the last 10 minutes of the meal after everything was gone and having to ask for them. The only thing that came out quickly was when someone other than our waitor brought it to us, which was our drinks.
Ultimately, I was not happy spending $65 here and am not enthused with the service. Had our waitor either been more engaged with us or came by more than 4 times over a 2 hour visit, perhaps it wouldn't have been as difficult to spend that money. Unfortunately, before I had even said anything about the lack of seevice, my date said she felt we were ignored as we watched other tables get checked on multiple times while we sat there with salty and breaded food without water.
I am not trying to trash on the restaurant as a whole and I am sure that there may be a great reason for why things happened this way, but it would have been good to at least know about the delay and be prepared for a long wait ahead of time.
All in all, the food was tasty and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. My date and I still had a wonderful night and are happy we got to go to this restaurant for the first time. The lacking service experience is not going to be something we think about when reminiscing upon this date. However, it has tainted our image of and ultimate desire to return to the Buffalo Rose in the future.

My mom who is visiting us from Mexico was with us and we were a party of 4. There was no line and no people waiting to be seated so the hostess took us right away. We notice a booth available when the hostess took us to a table I said “Excuse me Miss, my mom has a MEDICAL CONDITION and she requires back support can you be kind enough to seat us in a booth?” She said and I quote “No! We reserve the booths for parties of 6.” But Miss my mom’s MEDICAL CONDITION does require her to a have support on her back it’s a DISABILITY at this point I’m a little sad I don’t want to disclose my mom’s condition , well , then the hostess said “This (she points at the back of the wall where she wanted us to sit) is the back support she’s gonna have.”
We immediately said thank you for your time but we will not be dinning here. I am very appalled that this restaurant could not seat us in a booth when there was definitely available seating there was no line and this hostess I cannot believe the level of insensibility unprofessionalism and definitely no customer service and very unethical.
I called the manager a Miss Deb she said to give her my name and number and that she would call me back that she was very busy but that it was wrong of the hostess to do that …😑
So if you have a medical condition/disability that requires you to have a little bit more of back support and you need to sit on a booth make sure your party is 6 people because if not they will not accommodate you. I do have to mention that on previous occasions when my family has dined there and were seated on a booth, and our party was of 4 people … I apologize if a misspelled anything , English is not...
Read moreWe had a private event in the (newly renovated, and beautiful) 'Back Deck' area on Saturday, June 15th, and could not be more pleased with the overall experience. I worked with Patricia for our party and she made the planning so easy, yet it felt customized and personal to our event/guests. She was very responsive and helpful - beginning with my initial email to request information all the way to helping us pack up leftovers after the event. Because catering, liquor, staff, etc were included, the pricing is straightforward and definitely priced well given the high quality of everything. We had stationed appetizers and snacks with an open bar package, and everything was excellent. The bison sliders and shrimp skewers were a favorite for our group. We ordered drinks from the staff and they brought them from the main bar (instead of having a dedicated bar/bartender) and it worked seamlessly. No one in our group ever waited for a drink and everyone was pleased with the selection. Our party was a 'surprise' anniversary gathering and as soon as they guests of honor arrived, the staff made sure to bring them a cocktail. There was live music playing in the area that the Back Deck looks out onto, which was a definite draw when we booked this venue. It provided great ambiance for our party and the band was very good.
