Man, I’d hate to do this, but Today I bought my house in Goodyear couple years back was looking for a good sushi place and found this one first time I went yeah I was a little surprised by the prices, but once I received my order, I was like this well worth it The portions were awesome. I felt like I got what I paid for fast-forward a couple years till today well actually the previous two times before I started to notice that the portions were getting smaller, but not by a little bit by a noticeable amount so long story long the last three times I went I kept saying maybe it’s a different Chef maybe there’s a different manager working tonight And time after time I told myself I’m not gonna go back. This isn’t worth it. I feel like I’m getting cheated now. Well there’s not a lot of sushi out here in Goodyear so come to today I spent 100+ dollars to get some sushi and sashimi and what not sent my son to go pick up the order. I’m excited as hell to open the bags, and nothing but straight disappointment the serving portions Have to be third of what they were Before this love-hate relationship began I’m so disappointed right now I know I said a lot, but come on. I literally live in the same neighborhood as the restaurant I feel like I frequent a lot maybe not as much as others. but when I do order, it’s not just one plate for myself. It’s for a family of five. I’m just in my feelings right now because the excitement and anticipation of hoping that I will experience what I did in the beginning lately has been ending in me just feeling like I’m being emotionally messed with that’s not a real serious comment but I don’t know what else to say because man I love sushi and I love this place but come on this is ridiculous. Let’s go back to how we were before When I spent $40 for a couple pieces of sashimi and when I got my plate I was like hell yeah that’s what I’m talking about. I almost feel like a scorn lover like an abused husband like my feelings and appetite. Don’t matter like you’re trying to squeeze me for every last penny I mean let’s be honest instead of doing an 18 piece and making them this small and disappointing when I know what it used to be make it a 10 or 12 piece with some thick hardy pieces I used to have to bite every piece to sometimes three times now it’s like flossing my teeth. You should actually be embarrassed. I know I am for this long post and rant, but I’m still staring at my food right now. I can’t believe what you guys did to me. I am so upset right now. I think this relationship might be over. Your food is good shoot it’s great but you shouldn’t be allowed to build me up like that and then tear me down. In all seriousness, you guys have great customer service and the food is phenomenal but honestly, the portions on your most expensive plate is a little ridiculous. Now I mean come on let’s be real. There’s a bunch of other places that you could save a couple bucks on, but not that one people who ordered that plate the 18 pieces of sashimi that are the chef’s choice When you open that up and you look at it you feel like yes they appreciate my business they want me here and I want to feel like I got my moneys worth. I mean you could give me the same portions as two years ago for the same price and sell me a soda for $20 and I’d be ecstatic. I’d be happier than hell I’d pay for that soda all day long. Let’s try to do better. Let’s work through this. Let’s figure it out. I don’t know if this is the first time you’ve been told about what you’re doing to our community But come on you can do better much love...
Read moreMy wife and I are long-time customers of this restaurant. They have great-tasting sushi, miso soup and salad. Their other items are just mediocre. Lately though, we've been having issues with customer service. Three weeks ago my wife called in our carry-out order and we were told it would be ready in twenty minutes. It ended up taking an hour! Then when I went back in to explain that an extra 40 minutes wait for our food is unreasonable, the manager offered to give us a free California Roll next time (a measly $3 value during happy hour). This evening, when we called to place our carry-out order, they didn't have any record of our free California Roll, but after my wife explaining the inconvenience we had last time, they obliged. My wife specifically ordered three Thunder Rolls (all without spicy mayo, and one without masago) and one order of California Rolls. Towards the end of the phone call, she even told them she wanted the four sushi products in four separate containers. To our surprise, after we paid for the food and were reviewing the receipt as we got into our car, we saw they charged us for four Thunder Rolls! We walked back into the restaurant to explain the issue, and were pretty much told that we made the mistake when we ordered! That was absolutely NOT the case, as my wife orders frequently from this restaurant and knows exactly what she wants. Upon inspection, we saw that they tried to charge us for an extra Thunder Roll, with spicy mayo, which we would never order. They clearly made the mistake. Finally, the manager said she would refund the $6 amount for the extra item. When I explained that we needed something else to be done for our wasted time (and fact that our food is now getting cold), the store manager seemed offended that we were asking for something else. I even said if you refund us $10, that would suffice, to which she quickly rejected. Restaurants need to understand that when they make a mistake, don't just fix your mistake, at the expense of the customer, especially a long-time customer. We value our time, and we need to be compensated or otherwise credited for that time.
The store manager has been very friendly with my wife in the past, but she needs to understand two things: never call the customer a liar (in so many words) and be willing to make-good service issues when they arise. Don't just correct the error that you made and think that should be fine. Don't waste your customer's time and allow their food to get cold in...
Read moreI have been here before and the food was OK. The Friend rice was kind of good but needed more seasoning. The Sashimi was warm each time which is a cause for concern. I am no longer returning to this place.
What truly did it is that I arrived there yesterday and it took over 45 minutes to get 1 deep friend eel roll, 1 California roll, and the fried rice.
There was a party of around 6 that arrived 15-20 minutes after myself and another party of 4 that arrived 10 minutes after myself. Both of these parties received their deep fried sushi rolls, fried onion rings, and regular non fried sushi rolls. WAY BEFORE I received mine. I asked if mine where ready and the waiter proceeded to tell me that it takes longer because I ordered ONE fried roll.
Apparently, if I ordered 4 I would've gotten them quicker like the other 2 tables. The waiter continued making excuses but she most likely forgot to take my order ticket to the kitchen.
The food was bland, the sushi is no very fresh like at Suhi Vibe. Which is similar in price but definitely not nearly as good in food quality. Sushi Vibe is an easy 5 stars with food quality, atmosphere, and service.
Worst part was that the entire time waiting for my food, I was not given a drink refill the entire time I was there. I also asked for extra dressing for my side salad and I never got it from my waiter. I had to go find & ask another waiter.
It was truly a horrible experience and waste of $50.
The manager didnt even help, she just said they were busy. Which was irrelevant because I arrived prior to other customers. It was not busy at all and had she entered the food order right away, I would've had my food & ate it before the 2 table "rush" ( wasn't even that busy at all, they are just slow ) the manager just stands around and doesnt help at all. No one ever asked how my food was or of i needed anything which I...
