IF YOU GET BRANDI AS YOUR SERVER ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE. I am leaving a 5 star review for Pat the manager. If this was a review on our server it would be rated in the negative but Pat took what was a horrible experience and made it right. It started off with ordering. My husband and son share a bag as it is plenty of food for them with crab, corn, potatoes, bread, and sausages...etc. When we ordered like we have many times Brandi told us it would not be enough food for the two of them that we needed to get more crab. We politely said we order like this all the time and would go ahead with it. When she brought out their bag she brought the wrong bread, no extra sauce that we had asked for. So we again politely asked her to correct it. The whole time we were nice saying thank you as she brought us our water and food but she was very cold since the minute we sat down. Not acknowledging thank you and not really having a nice personality that a waitress should have specially on Father's Day weekend. My husband and son started eating their crab and we noticed there was only 2 chunks or sausage in the bag when we had ordered 8 pieces to be in it. We called the waitress over and explained that it was short 6 pieces of sausage. She then said extremely rudely that she had counted 4 in the bag. Implying that we were trying to pull one over on them for $3 sausages (2 orders of 4). I told her I had one piece my husband had 1 piece as well and that I am not sure what she counted but it wasn't 4 sausage and that we had ordered 8 anyways (2 sets of 4). I asked if she would go and get the 6 pieces that were not included... then she got loud and said yes I will go and get 4 more pieces for you. Well.... I am not a math major but 2 +4 does not equal 8. And customer service does not equal accusing your customer if there could have been a simple mistake with the order. You see when you order the sausages it comes as 1 order of 4 pieces, we order 2 sets. On our check it showed 2 sausage orders so most likely the cook read it wrong and just put 2 pieces in instead of 2 sets (of 4 pieces). Brandi came back to the table with the 4 pieces that she had went to get.... I asked her to get another 2 pieces as 4 +the 2 we had in our bag was not the full 8 we ordered or would be paying for. She didn't say a thing and walked away ignoring me. By this time I was shocked that this woman was even a waitress. She had no respect for her customer who was just trying to get the meal they ordered. I have never been treated so poorly and accused of wanting free $3 sausage 🤣. It was insane!!! I went to talk to the manager Pat and explained what was going on. That our order had been shorted most likely because of a simple mistake when reading the ticket. He was extremely polite and corrected the situation how it should have been handled the first time. He offered to throw in a free dessert, which we declined as it never was about anything free just we wanted to get what we ordered and wanted to pay for what we ordered as well. Pat was amazing and took care of us the rest of the night. We will come back to the restaurant a thousand times because of Pat. But I hope Brandi finds a new career, one that she does not have to deal with taking...

I went with my parents, wife and daughter for lunch on a Saturday. First, I didn't get my potato salad. I ordered 4 pieces of sausage and got 4 orders of sausage (16 pieces). I explained that my daughter didn't know how to eat her crab and that at the Angry Crab on Indian School they had opened it and explained where the inedible bits were and helped out. "We don't do that here." was the explanation I got and I kid you not, the server brought a rock and smashed the crab open. There was some debate among the staff about whether I was going to be allowed a refund (and under what circumstances) for my sausage and I had to sit there and count my sausage. After the second time the server came back it came down to me having to give my bag of food up so they could go remove the sausage. Yes, they took my bag of food. Oh, also, people kept coming around to clean up, which could be nice if it wasn't for the fact they kept reaching over our food and drinks. I really don't like having that many strangers feeling comfortable with my consumables. One lady came over and picked up a whole wad of napkins and dragged them through my potato salad. I got about three bites in when that happened. It tasted poorly anyway. I relayed all this to someone (I really don't know who, I thought she was the manager) and she said OK, well you might have to tell this story again. Then some guy comes to the table and says, "I hear there's a problem?" I guess he might have been the manger but since he didn't introduce himself, it will have to remain a mystery. I did not bother recounting all the issues. My daughter and my wife both told me they felt like they were an inconvenience to the wait staff. My daughter was still eating her food and puting in to go plates when they started making her move to clean up the table. I spent a hundred dollars on food. In an act of unbelievable generosity, I still tipped 10 dollars. I didn't eat most of my food (having been taken away and brought back and had napkins dragged through it) and went and bought lunch afterward. I have very much enjoyed the Angry Crab on 28th Street and Indian School a few times now, but I don't know if I'll ever step foot in one again simply because I can't bring myself to pay for another meal when I still haven't gotten the meal I already paid for. If for some reason, you are still reading this review, save yourself the trouble and go to the location across town. It might cost you an extra 20 minutes in traffic each way, but at least you'll still get to enjoy the Angry Crab instead of writing a lamentation as you realize you've already had all the good meals you are ever going...
Read moreWe were pleasantly greeted and sat right away by the host. Unfortunately our waitress took quite some time to come to our table and it was not busy. We came to celebrate my grandson’s birthday, the children had to go get their own crayons…. The experience for him was worth it because he doesn’t know any better about receiving poor service, however I would not return and spend the money we did for the service we got…. Our drinks took a long time to arrive, we had to ask the server about the special of the queen crab which says it’s supposed to be comparable in size to king crab. It’s basically just a slightly larger snow crab that didn’t have a lot of meat (just more weight). We had to ask twice for are sauces that were supposed to come with our bag of food, we were given scissors only and had to ask for other utensils, which really weren’t what you would use to actually remove crab from the shell, had to ask for refills and my grandson was given rotten mushy apples that looked like someone nawed on them. Totally unacceptable we had to flag someone else down to point this out…. I asked for ones that were fresh the other server told us “they are probably all like that and need to be thrown out…. What else do you want?” not I’m sorry, can I get you something else in place of them”. I can’t believe that anyone would even allow that to go to a table! They should be embarrassed! You would think a manger would have stopped at the table after something like this. I asked for a root beer float for my grandson for birthday dessert. The server said “we have to charge you for that” we only do cheese cake and carrot cake for birthdays… I wasn’t expecting to get it for free but soda and a scoop of ice cream is definitely less in cost for the establishment, it was comp’d from the check. The most attention we got was when it was time to pay and they were back at the table not even giving us time to get out our payment! The original server was nice, but did not anticipate our needs...
