We ate here later in the evening at the end of an eleven hour journey. The service was friendly and our seating outside was welcome and comforting. The appetizer we enjoyed, potato nachos, was a knock out. Massive platter of Waffle fries, scallions, tomatoes, Monterey jack cheese, jalapeños, salsa, sour cream. Black bean burger needs a little work, needs better spicing and the texture was off. Falafel salad was good but would have been great had the falafel been in standard form, small balls, not one large patty. Three cheese French onion soup was terrible and needs to be reconsidered entirely. Like a bowl of brown soup with a slice of bread in it, topped with chewy cheese that was too mild to excite a cheese lover's palette. The salad with balsamic vinaigrette served with the soup was excellent, made better by the waitress adding the avocado my son didn't want on his black bean burger to it. The wine was $1 off. I enjoyed a dry red wine that I was not familiar with. The waitress brought me a sample before I committed. Even though the food was not perfect I still gave the restaurant 5 stars because it was a good experience. I would go back for sure. I would definitely order the potato...
Read moreRaised in Gorham, lived just around the corner (1968),from what is now Sebago Brewing. Have enjoyed numerous meals there in the past. Visited today, seeking a good meal, after a two day long driving trip home. We were looking forward to sitting at the bar and relaxing, unfortunately the bar seating was completely full, all sitting about 1 foot apart and no masks required. We were seated in a booth, 6 feet from entry door (with plexi glass). Wore our masks respectfully upon entry. Walked six feet sat down and removed our masks for the remainder of our dining. Upon leaving we forgot to put our masks on to exit 6’ to the door and we were abruptly called out and embarrassed by a take out order staff employee. If the bar is full next time, where masks are not an issue 1 foot apart, we will choose to dine at a different restaurant despite the dedicated support we have given this establishment for years. Truly sad that our governor has brought it to this...
Read moreLots of new help, all with great promise. I’m sure, but for a pleasant light, expensive dinner we were very disappointed. Hostess didn’t seem to know where to seat people. Ordered a gin and tonic with Blue Saphire gin, bartender used blue curacue instead. Apparent overserved young patron at the bar hollering a conversation to someone at the other end. Spoke to the manager, but he was defense, although he did speak to the loud patron, after I told him I’d be happy to. It’s a good chain, when properly managed. Ordered fish and chips, no chips, served with crappy rice pilaf also ordered the tenderloin, served with more crappy rice pilaf. Ordered a glass of Merlot that had already turned to vinegar. Over a hundred bucks, money not the point, but after driving many miles and looking for a decent, relaxin meal, very...
