Went here for the first time a couple months ago, it was a pleasant suprise - food was decent, friendly staff, enjoyed bowling and the Arcade.
However, this evening I brought my family and my daughter's friend there to celebrate her birthday and it was a different story. One of two of these might have not been a big deal by themselves but it was just in general a pretty inconvenient experience.
We explained we were going to eat and bowl, apparently there was a mix up and our lane never got marked for food? No biggie. Lady at the front was friendly but seemed new - I get it. We decided to get an extra hour of bowling since the time was almost up and we had yet to get our food.
Server arrived and apologized again. Ordered our food, mixup on one of the meals. Took a while but they got the correct meal to us.
When we finished up I realized I had yet to receive a bill, waited about 10 minutes before going to the front and asked if we paid there - they said they would get the server to bring the bill shortly. Waited another 10 minutes and finally received the bill.
I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza special. Was very dry with burnt bacon, very bland except for every 4th bite you'd get a bit of ranch. Stated "Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza $18 on the specials board. Once I finally got my bill it was $26. I asked about it, apparently that was only if you ordered the small. Ok.
Arcade - 1/4th of the Machines are off or labeled for repair, 1/4th of the machines are on but not functional in one way or the other - the last 1/2 seem to work fine. Pricing / Prizing are fine, but it was like pulling teeth getting someone to come to redeem points. General maintenance of arcade seems non-existant. Side note - experienced a fair amount of tehcnical glitches while bowling - pins that weren't knocked down counting as knocked down - Sometimes when lane would reset for next player it would only drop 3 or 4 pins instead of all of them.
It didn't seem particularly busy for a Saturday Evening and staff looked abundant, but the general vibe felt like it was being run like they were down 40% of their staff. Prices are too steep...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed and that makes me sad because my mom and I came in this afternoon for lunch and due to my mom having celiac disease had to leave without even staying for a meal. Ashley was our server and was curt and bordering impolite. She put our drink orders in and then we had some questions about the menu. my mom is allergic to wheat and all of her food must be gluten free and prepped gluten free. Junction Bowl has very few options for people with gluten sensitivity. They do not have a fryer dedicated to gluten-free so besides for a salad and a cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun, my mom can have nothing on their menu. They do not accommodate for allergies at all, and said my mom's $15 cheeseburger without fries was subject to an upcharge to exchange for a salad that she could eat. So, $20 for a wimpy cheeseburger and side salad?? You are really going to charge to substitute for a salad when she can't eat the fries because of the way you prepare them? I am all about shopping local. And I am bummed because as Mom and I were seated we were admiring the beautiful building and bowling lanes and were discussing coordinating a fun afternoon at Junction Bowl, with our large extended family of 8. That won't be happening now. Junction Bowl, you have a gorgeous building and a good menu, but you could do better by people like my mom. Gluten sensitivity isn't all that uncommon now. And to add insult to injury, I felt that Ashley treated my mom with absolutely zero compassion for the reason she needed gluten free, nor was their an understanding about the ingredients on the menu. Junction Bowl, do better by people with allergies so we can come back. And teach your staff about being courteous, polite, and maybe even helpful so that we want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe absolute worst place I've ever dined in. Service is absolutely terrible, they get your order wrong then argue with you about it. Waited 1.5 hrs and got my order wrong, waiting another 30+ minutes. Terrible attitudes. Terrible service. Update: they messed up my appetizers and I just felt with it. They brought back my burger made wrong took it back removed the things I requested not have it from the start, then brought it back and argued they didn't just take it off even though I could still see pieces on it. I asked him to just take it back and remove it from the bill. While waiting for the bill. He brought it out again and got angry when I told him I asked him to remove it from the bill and argued with me about the fact that they made my sons burger wrong twice. When I mentioned I didn't want it because they clearly just took off the stuff I couldn't eat, they argued they had burgers waiting on the fly and that's why they were able to bring it back so quick. Great, except it took 30 minutes to fix my sons wrongly made burger. They brought my sons cheese burger without cheese, and I asked them just too add cheese and they told me they couldn't take it back (mind you they just took mine back 2 minutes prior) 30 minutes later they brought it back without cheese AGAIN. We git there at 640-9 pm We were seated without any menus, then when we asked for some they gave us one for a table of 6 No silverware was given to us or napkins even though we requested them multiple times. So we had nothing to eat our appetizers with. Really google should...
