I know it's take out only, but please tip. This family is really working hard to keep up. They really appreciate it when you appreciate their effort.
Some people might think they are rude, but they are not. They are just trying to make sure they cook what you want! English is a very difficult language, but the lady at the front tries hard to make sure she understands what you are saying. To a Southerner, she may come off as abrupt, but this is simply a cultural difference.
These folks do a great job! I picked up an early dinner from Great Wall tonight and it was delicious. I have ordered from them many times and ordering with special instructions is never a problem. Tonight I enjoyed General Tso Chicken with extra broccoli. The chicken was fried to a golden brown, the sauce was sweet and tangy, and the extra broccoli really made the difference for me! Many restaurants overcook this dish, but Great Wall...
Read moreWe've been eating there for over 20 years. Always great and they are the hardest working people. What people misunderstand as rudeness is a language barrier but their English is so much better over the years. Claiming they use anything other than store bought meats is pure ignorance. I can buy a pound of Chicken for a buck, a cat renders no meat. In the 1700 and 1800'a a lot of "Settlers" had Asian Cooks so tales of using dogs and cats for food may have been true. It was survival. I seriously doubt it's happening today. I have heard many make these claims of this place. Its ridiculous. Especially in the U.S. New England has some of the best Oriental food, this is the first place in the South that can even compare that I've had. Super all the...
Read moreWe ordered 3 different meals with beef and vegetables. They all looked the same, other than which vegetables were in them, and pretty much tasted the same. Not spicy at all, though I asked for two of them to be spicy. The beef in all of them had a coating that maybe should have been fried at wok "high" temps so it would be crispy, but it was mushy, a texture I didn't like at all. I ate some of the vegetables and threw the rest away. Husband didn't like the beef lo mein or fried dumplings (both thrown out). I hate wasting food and money, so we won't be visiting here again, especially at eat-out prices now. I will say the lady at the front was VERY friendly and courteous. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I dislike...
