We were going to try it because it's new, but there was a wait with like 4 families in front of us! It was, I believe a Wednesday so who would've thought?! They had a ton of empty tables, but I think the wait staff felt they couldn't keep up if they were seated? I'm not sure why they would rather risk losing people at the door rather than explain to them as they were seated that it may be little more of a wait. I use to be a server, bartender, manager, cook, etc. So I know how to manage a fast-paced restaurant. I would do all those jobs by myself at times. Greet guests at the door & seat them while taking their drink orders. Take their food orders even if I wasn't ready, then also having to run into the kitchen to cook their plates or help prepare them, and helping them to check out when it was time to go while busting their tables. So I know it can be done. Now, I don't expect that kind of service, but I do expect an effort. There were two greeters at the door, doing nothing but putting names on the list. I'm not sure how many wait staff there was but come on, bad business for a brand new restaurant with no others around. I would of had the greeters taking drink orders after sitting the guests. Once they got their drinks, they could have explained to the guests about there being a little longer than usual wait. They could've also helped bust the tables and re-set for the next people while keeping an eye on the door. If I were the manager there, then I would've been out on the floor running food and helping in the kitchen if needed. People are more understanding if you just tell them what's up while seating them. It's better to have them at a table sipping on a drink or munching on chips then have them waiting at door, wondering what's the deal. We only waited about 15 mins before leaving. These pics were taken when we went back a 2nd time. The food was not all that great. The manager/owner was sitting in a booth and was very cold and expressionless. You could clearly tell, however, he was the boss. But it wasn't for the right reasons. He never once smiled or nodded. Looked more upset that people were there. If he was having a bad day he should've just stayed in the back. I will never understand the types of bosses that don't or won't help their employees when busy or to make things right better. They would rather sit back and watch...
Read moreWe have been patrons of this restaurant chain for years. It's been a couple years since we have been to this location (before they moved into the new building) but our usual place is in Yelm. We stopped in this Graham Puerto Vallarta on a Saturday night and ordered our usual Fiesta platter, our elderly father got the beef quesadilla. It was our fault for not realizing it wasn't the same platter it used to be, and definitely not the same that Yelm offers. This one was basically a plate of stale nachos, and came with two corn and two flour taquitos. They were so hollow as the meat was minimal and cooked to a crisp. Comparing to the Yelm platter, they give you jalapeno poppers, cheese sticks, chicken wings, a loaded beef quesadilla, nachos and tons of filled taquitos in both corn and flour. What a difference!! Our dad wasn't happy with his quesadilla, said the tortilla was hard and it barely had any cheese. We all felt disappointed ☹️ definitely not worth the money. The service wasn't great either as we didn't see our waitress after we got our food. We had to go to the counter to pay after waiting ages for her to return. I provided pictures of the difference in the platter I'm taking about. We will not choose this location again. It's unfortunate because it used to be so...
Read moreSo, since they moved to this new location, we loved everything about it, until tonight. Major disappointment. Both my wife and I like the Chicken Tacos Supremo. I've been eating this dish at the Gig Harbor and Port Orchard locations for over 20 years. Absolutely delicious.
Ordered out tonight and I was so bummed out. The highlight of the dish is, of course, the seasoned chicken that, usually, overflows from the tacos. It used to be that there was almost too much meat, but it was so good... tonight, I ate all three tacos and I'm not sure that I even tasted any meat. I did see a few little, kibble sized chunks, but overall, I'm not sure that there was even 1/6th the meat, on my plate, compared to what we used to get. With this, I hope it was an aberration. I spent nearly 45 dollars on two taco dishes that was nothing more than salsa and guacamole, a little cheese, very little, and nearly no chicken.
I'm going to give them one more chance and then find me a new Mexican Restaurant to dine at. I'm, literally, shocked at how poor it was. The two stars reflects the 5 stars that I would have given it yesterday minus the negative 3 that I would give it, at...
