Was just there last week 7/16/24. I used to run one of the best popeyes in the country 3 years ago. Let me tell you, this Popeyes has potential. I read through some of the past reviews before posting, and if you were looking for older management to whip things into shape, you got it. Older gentleman by the name of John was running the show when my fiance and I showed up half an hour after open. Dining room was neat and tidy. I'm talking you couldn't see a crumb on a single table. Floors were clean as a whistle (not crazy about cement floors instead of tile, but that's not the management's fault). All our food was FRESH! I say that with confidence after eating leftovers for the past 5 days. You can tell none of the food even the sides were reheated from the previous day. All our chicken was evenly coated with a consistent golden color, blackened tenders were Cooked to Order (as they should be). We got an additional order to go because it was that good. My fiance wouldn't even reheat her chicken sandwich because she didn't want to ruin the perfect coating on it (she's worked at popeyes too and knows quality). John was very attentive to our every need and want (which says something since she's pregnant and even more particular about food quality). I didn't realize that the tea urns are no longer available to guests. So while John was preparing our order a kind young man named David came up to us asking if I needed anything. I told him I wanted a half sweet/unsweetened tea and he made it perfect 👌. Just the right amount of ice too. All the staff were clean presentable and tidy just like the lobby. Lobby is now stocked with all basic condiments, and we weren't charged for an extra couple sauces even though we insisted on paying. Now the only bad thing I can say is the place was short staffed. The manager had to have come in atleast two hours early to do the prep for them to open with as few people as they had. Also they are only operating with one drive through. This is a review of them at open. I'm sure lunch rush could get hectic especially with online orders coupled with doordash, Uber eats, etc. So with that in mind just know that yes, sometimes it may take half an hour to get your order (fastest cook time ive seen for bone-in chicken with an experienced cook is about 20 minutes because that's Popeyes standards for proper prep and cook time). So if your local. Please give this place a second chance. And if you know a good employee send them this way. Read moreThis location is new and just opened not long ago. First thought is "this is great! Close to home" ....wrong... every experience I've had here has been horrible. Ordered a family meal for lunch. 14 piece chicken tender. I ordered 15min after they opened. Should be fresh right? No it was not. There were some fresh out of the fryer pieces mixed with dry, rubbery, discolored pieces. How does that happen right after opening? It happens by re-frying pieces that were left over from last night, then mixing them with new ones and hoping I wouldn't notice? (By the way, it literally took an hour for them to prepare it and give it to me... i did an online order via the app) Had that refunded. Tried going there again a few weeks later ordered 3 piece strips meal. Old, over cooked, salty, rubbery. I stopped going there and just continued using Fredrickson location which has always been good. 2 month later.... I order a family meal to try it again... I get there 30min after ordering and paying via app.... they don't even have my order..."oh we found it! We'll get started right away".. when they finally get the bag together it was missing some items and they tried giving me 2 small sides instead of 2 large sides, then questioned me about which sizes it was supposed to come with.. so I did their job for them and showed them on the app where it clearly states 2 large sides... total time to get my meal from ordering on the app....over an hour again....
Read moreSince this location is open I have been there a few times. When they first opened, we decided to try it. Order was incorrect and sodas were flat. We chalked it up to them being new. Since then we went a few more times. The same cashier ( I think assistant manager) was at the drive thru. Each time we tried to order she was very short and would cut me off when I was trying to order. At the window she was very unpleasant, even with no other customers or cars, she was in a rush to get people in and out. No customer service skills at all.
Yesterday, I am pretty sure was my last time going there. I had ordered on the mobile app. They open at 10am. I came to the drive thru at 10:45. I sat there for 3 minutes without any acknowledgment. A car pulled up behind me, she was there doing door dash. She ended up going to the door, which was locked. I drove thru the drive through again, saw someone inside. I honked my horn. she came to the window. She said they were short staffed and did not have any food. I asked for a refund and was told I had to call someone thru the mobile app. As I was leaving two more cars came to the drive thru.
