I took my daughter to eat breakfast this morning, I have eaten here before, but this time I was not impressed. We sat there for 10 minutes as, 4 waitresses walked by not saying 1 word to us. Finally we got 1 to come over. We ordered. The food came. Not impressed with the size for the price. I ordered the migas, which I've had before, very small portion. The tortilla strips were soggy, not crispy as usual. My daughter had the country scramble, which she has had before. She asked for crispy bacon. It was not. She asked for everything separated, which she has done before, the eggs scrabbled with cheese had cheese just melted on top and didnt taste very good, I tried them. We got the bill. The waitress asked how it was, and as I begin to explain she cut me off and said thanks for comming and walked off. We went to pay to find out she priced everything for my daughter separately so it was more than usual. The lady at the cash register was nice, but to occupied with I assume is the manager, working on their schedule, probably not the best time to do that. She then asked us how it was, again I was going to explain, but cut me off, told me thanks for coming and have a nice day. Then proceeded to talk to the manager lady on the side of her. Not that it matters but the past 3 times I've been there it's gotten worse. I have to say Cari's have lost my business. Yall may need to go back and train ur waitresses and cooks. Not impressed at all. Use to love eating there every Monday on my day off with friends...
Read moreDay trip to Granbury and decided to stop in for.a late breakfast. Open table seating, server was prompt to bring menus and take drink orders. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast and my wife chose the 2 egg bacon, egg, toast, hashbrown combo. Both choices were good. My wife also ordered a Belgian waffle which was soggy and not good. We decided to try their fried pies (cherry cheesecake and peach) which were made to order. Unfortunately all of the pies had raw dough inside and were undercooked. We started to eat our food when my wife noticed that behind the counter our server was eating her own breakfast. This would be fine if the servers took breaks to eat and not serve customers at the same time. This wasn’t the case - my wife and I sat eating our food for over an hour and the entire time saw our server taking bites from food all while serving customers refills and bringing out orders. This in and of itself is gross but with COVID this is unacceptable and a complete disregard for the health and safety of their customers. The server would take a bite, walk to the counter to grab an order with the same hands that had just touched her mouth and put them directly onto the customer’s plates. As time progressed we noticed other servers also eating while serving customers. ...
Read moreCari's, in Granbury, is one of the very few places to get breakfast there!
It was a bit confusing to decide which door was the actual entry. In front of the handicapped parking space at the west door was a wheelchair ramp that has a very difficult and too steep incline ramp, so we finally chose the one on the east side of the building. That entry is confusing because it looks you walk through a drive-thru lane, but that must have been for a previous restaurant in this building.
Once inside, seating was easy. Breakfast choices were the usual. It is one of the very few places that offers corned beef hash! What a treat! My husband had a Belgian waffle. Apparently, the first one broke, so our server brought half of it and promised a complete, unbroken one. It came promptly! Breakfast was very good. Service was excellent.
The restroom, however, does not have the handicapped transfer bars which makes it impossible for a wheelchair user to use the facilities.
Overall, the food was great and service was excellent. Entry was confusing for the first-time customer and the restroom was not handicapped accessible. When in the area we'll probably be back. I hope they get handicapped transfer bars for...
