Golden Chick — Restaurant in Granbury

DON'T GET THE CATFISH, HERE!!! The food quality at Golden Chick has, generally, been pretty good, in my opinion. However, my loyalty is fading fast because of THIS store since they fk up my order evert single time! Please see the pic attached to this review... note the size of the catfish fillets on the plate. Pretty normal size, right? Also, note that those are from Chicken Express located two lots down from this Golden Chick store.

I stopped in Golden Chick and ordered a three piece catfish meal. Well, let's just say that you would NEVER believe what they passed off as catfish fillets! I'm not exactly sure what it was, but the three that were in my order, in total, didn't add up to even half of one of the fillets in the photo! I paid $10 for what amounted to three minnow fillets! Not kidding! Seriously, I thought that they accidentally gave me three shrimp instead of catfish fillets!

Shame on Golden Chick and shame on the idiots working there for taking people's hard earned cash and giving them garbage! This location is simply horrible! The employees seem to be bumbling stooges. Nobody knows anything and they screw EVERYTHING up! It is pretty bad when you stop at Golden Chick to eat and, when you leave, you have to go to Chicken Express...

I bought 2 two beast meals to go, all four breasts fried. The order taker had to make sure they had enough fried breasts when I ordered, and it took some time to find out. Evidently those breasts had been left in the warmer for a long time because they were dried out, there were actually places on mine that were scorched (burned), the crust was hard and dry and you couldn’t bite there it, you had to peel it off. I gagged down 3/4 of mine and gave the rest to the dogs. My wife managed to eat most of her’s, but gave most of the crust to the dogs. Nether of use even tried the second breast. I also bought some “”dirty rice” and forced my self to eat 1//2 of it, before I threw it away, with 1/2 of the macaroni and cheese. My wife couldn’t eat more than 1/2 of her macaroni and cheese. Undoubtedly, it was the WORST meal we’ve had in Granbury in the 14 years we have lived here in Granbury.

You guys had a store in Acton and we never had a bad experience. But you closed the store in Acton, and we we had to drive to Granbury to We have watched the quality of your food get worse over the years, but we always gave another chance. NO MORE CHANCES!!

I went to Golden Chick because I heard their catfish was really good. I sat in the drive through for 45 minutes waiting. There were only 2 cars in front of me. When I finally made it to the window I was told the catfish wasn't ready and that I should pull up and they would bring it out to me. I sat there for 10 more minutes and never got my food. I went inside and they had forgotten about me. They said they still didnt have any catfish ready. I asked for my money back because I didn't have time to wait any longer. She was very rude about this and said she would need my receipt. I wasnt walking back to my car to get the receipt. She got my money and rudely handed it to me and NEVER apologized for any inconvenience. I was appalled. I understand they were short of help, which is why I decided to wait it out. But they had 55 minutes while I sat there to fry 5 pieces of fish. The whole experience was...
