Update on some of the best Mexican food ! The new dishes that have been introduced are amazing, really! Not only are they delicious with fresh ingredients but they are so artfully presented. It is not only the food that makes Fuego a winner, it is the owner and staff who treat each and every customer like they are a visitor in their home. In today's world it is unusual to have such warm, caring and personalized service. I do not know how they remember but they seem to know each customer by name and the owner is so hands on, from kitchen staff to wait staff, they all appear to be having so much fun! Just love it! Go for the food, then relax and soak in the friendly, homey atmosphere. You won't be disappointed. Great food and service, only had appetizers but they were great and the mango margaritas were made fresh and simply awesome. The chef is newly arrived from Chicago and creating new dishes for the menu.....check it out! Update: Cornhole tournaments on Monday night, karaoke on Wednesday, some great talent! Open mic night here on Saturday! Great music and musicians, definitely needed to come, best entertainment in Granbury, kudos to Cliff Williams, Ron Schaffer and Boodreaux Guitarez.....you guys are awesome!

So I have Read many reviews that this restaurant is kind of 50/50. My girlfriend is a top food critic and DFW. So she has taken me to many restaurants to where I have tasted the good and the bad numerous times... My 1st judgment on Mexican restaurants is the chips in salsa. If the sauce was bad than the whole meal is probably going to go south. But the salsa was very good it Was good texture and definitely had a small kick. Moving on I got here and had been told today June 14th. They were serving a appetizer of CEVICHE. The only other time i've had this was actually in mexico. This was the closest that i've ever found to being what I remember in mexico two years ago. I had to definitely save some to bring back home for my girlfriend so she could have it again and remember that time in mexico. My buddy was with me and he had the grilled Chicken con queso He said it was fantastic I had the combo fajitas and The steak could have been cooked a little less but over all taste was very good. Congrats to the new owners

Granted, we are Georgians/Hispanics and are still trying to wrap our minds around Texan Mexican food. But even with that in mind, it’s not great. The chips are definitely store brand, from a bag. Not made in house. Which isn’t the worst thing, I guess. My son ordered a simple beef taco, which came battered and deep fried. I had an empanada, which was the strangest one I’ve ever had. It consisted of thick, deep fried bread stuffed with flavorless beef. The rice was crunchy, with peas and corn and was akin to chewing on legos. And for what we got, it was wildly overpriced. The server and bar tender were so nice, so it really pains me to rain on their establishment. But it simply isn’t good food and certainly not at that price. I’m so sorry! I’ve also never heard of a restaurant charging credit card fees.

Was not a good experience. Went for lunch. There were 2 tables being served and 1 person at the bar, but service was very slow. There were 2 of us but only one meal came out. It was the nacho platter which was just a pile of chips with ingredients scattered on top. It was very messy and hard to eat. The second dish didn't come out so I sat there watching my sister eat her food while I waited for mine. A table close to us had her food delivered when I saw her look at her food and lift the tortillas and discovered it wasn't hers. Turned out it was my lunch. The waitress then asked if I wanted it and that she didn't touch it. Luckily the lady admitted she had touched the food so I asked for it to be remade. In the meantime my sister was finished eating and had to wait for me to get my food and eat. Our waiter never smiled or apologized for the mix up, he just brought us our check . It was a strange experience and I was just so ready to get out of there. We won't...
