This has been one of my favorite spots to come to for the past few years, I think this place has great potential but is just ran extremely poorly. The cooK,is awesome! and very polite. I notice her cooking alone each time Im there even with the line to the door! but food still served to perfection, ONLY when she’s cooking!! other experiences haven’t been so well, Such as the one that occurred today.first the young lady at the counter who was a sweetheart, but In no way should be handling customers or cash, asked me several times what my order was and continued to get it wrong, I just wanted some breakfast, so I asked if she could grab someone that could help her understand what I’m asking for, she then turned to the cook who looked to be busy as there was a decent sized crowd waiting for their meals. The cook quickly ran over and assisted me with my order( I felt bad) the young lady begin to check me out and hands me the wrong change not once but twice! I ordered a ham a Swiss Croissant and a side of cafe potatoes, the cook runs back to the kitchen and continues her orders, the owner then comes from the back begin to assist the young lady in the front with 2 coffe drinks, once she’s poured 2 brewed cups of coffee she then steps into the kitchen to assist the cook, I see her drown the potatoes shes going to serve in oil, then her snatch a pan off the fire and say “you can’t serve burnt food!” Then slams the pan back down. To the cook loud enough that I could hear above the music playing in the background, (so unprofessional) when I got my food my croissant was nowhere near burnt. It was actually the total opposite! Raw scrambled eggs! On my Ham and Swiss croissant with side of oily taters... I did not enjoy, i will call to see who’s cooking next time before I waste a buck here. Horrible owner and even...

Unfortunately, disappointing. The place gives off a great vibe outside and when you walk in up until you start talking to people. The menu is really good and offers a huge range of both quick and traditional breakfast staples (to-go pastries all the way to omelettes and more) which makes sense with the semi fast-casual vibe. The food was good though admittedly not great and very overpriced given that fact.

The atmosphere is fun with used bookshelves (from which you can shop for an inexpensive read) but the service takes the air right back out. Bluntly, no one seems to like working there. Hey, maybe it was early? I don't know but I did not get a happy feeling from the staff.

Also, because it's fast-casual, you will be picking up your own food from the counter and bringing you plate to the drop off where you will scrape it clean and stack the dishware. Whatever, I'm not better than the serving staff but I do feel like the tip options should default to 20% if the staff doesn't actually do any of the drop off or clean up.

All in all, there are better places in Granby. ...

my dad went in for us to grab a ham & cheese croissant, and a highland pudding. (highland pudding is oatmeal.) i had been craving this specific oatmeal for so long, he thankfully picked it up for me & the croissant for himself. hes diabetic, he needed to take his meds. he figured those two extremely small items wouldnt take long, so he could shovel it in & take the meds. it took over and hour for those two items, and when he did receive them, the girl was rude to him. so he waited all that time, patiently, for you to then treat him like garbage because you’re mad you’re at work? we all work, get over it. you’re there to provide a certain experience, and you did anything but that.

once receiving my oatmeal, 3 bites in and theres a long ginger colored hair weaving through my oatmeal grains. and, i almost choked on it as i had taken a decent sized mouthful (i was pretty hungry.) thats disgusting, i hadnt been there in a while but when i was before- the experience i had was nothing like this one. no wonder no locals were anywhere to be seen...

Great spot, would recommend on your trip to Rockies for a quick bite! Tried the veggie wrap, chicken Zeus wrap, waffles with banana and cream, dark mocha, hazelnut mocha and latte. Food tasted great, coffee could have been better. We tried the same coffees on 2 days, but they tasted pretty different. Menu is huge so you have lots of options to choose from. They also had a low carb high protein section on the menu and they agreed to remove/add things in your dish if you request, which was really nice of them. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Indoor seating is plenty and they also sell second hand books etc for very cheap. The location of this cafe is great, would definitely recommend stopping by here for coffee/breakfast.
