Sorry, for the long post, but this situation really got under my skin. I'd like to say that in my lifetime I have worked in the food industry and customer service. I understand the business and there are times when I get exceptional service I will call the store and commend the employees and there are times when I have received bad service and brought it to the companies attention. Normally, I dont do reviews, but I feel the need to do one now. My sister and I went in to the Hill and Fenton Rd. store along with my 4 year old granddaughter, to buy dinner as a treat for a family of 6, I can't afford Jersey Mikes on a regular basis. We were the only customers in the store at that time. I ordered 3 giants (2 of them hot), 1 regular, 1 mini and a kids meal. First thing that was brought to my attention was I noticed that when they were cutting a loaf of bread for the regular and 2 minis (1 mini ordered and a mini for the kids meal), they actually cut about an inch slice of the loaf off, balled it up and thru it away. I was baffled by that action because of the cost of everything now and the wastefulness of it. I would think it could have been eyed to make those 3 sandwiches, my opinion of course. Well, the sandwiches were made with meat and cheese and the process of ordering the condiments started and in the middle of that, a girl went up the register and rudely yelled out to me asking if we wanted drinks and chips. I politely told her no and continued to let the young man know about the condiments. We got to the last sandwich which was the mini for the kids meal and this is where more rudeness came into play. My granddaughter is 4 and was telling me what she wanted on her sandwich, a little bit of mustard, a little bit of oil and vinegar and pickles and banana peppers on the side. I relayed that to the young man and that's when the eye rolling and heavy breathing came, this was totally uncalled for and it didn't go unnoticed by me or the other customers that had come in behind me. At that time I noticed the girl that yelled about the drinks and chips was bagging up all the sandwiches in 1 bag and I asked her if she could please bag the hot sandwiches separately, which she did. During this time the young man had put a glob of mustard, and showered that mini with oil and vinegar. Needless to say, I held my composure, paid my bill of $83.32 and left. After we backed out of our parking space, I realized that they didn't give us the drink or cookie for the kids meal, so we parked again. Due to my health and having already walked more than I should have, my sister went in to get that and grab a bag of chips (1.75) too. She was told by the girl that they didn't charge us for a kids meal, just for a mini sub. So instead of adjusting the cost of a mini sub for a kids meal, that I had ordered to begin with, the girl rang her up for $4.29 for a drink and a bag of chips and another $1.50 for a cookie, for a total of $6.14. I wish I had went in there myself because that definitely wouldn't have happened. My sister went agead and paid for it it, she was tired from working all day and was just trying to get home. At this point I wasn't a very happy camper, so I decided I would just call the store in the morning after I had the opportunity to calm down and talk to a manager with calmness. To my dismay, when I called, it was even a bigger disappointment as I was informed by the assistant manager, Katelyn, that the girl shud have talk to the manager when the issue happened, and they don't give refunds and in the future I need to make sure that I follow the process. Order my sandwiches, get the condiments wanted and request the drink and cookie at the register for kids meals. Grab the chips you want while in line. Well, for one there won't be a future with this store and I'll probably stick to Subway (less expensive) or just cook at home. My warning to any customers is for you to make sure you follow their process so you don't end up paying the cost for...
Read moreHad a horrible experience. Did a pickup order and it said that my order would be ready by 1:45. So my husband and I waited and at 1:30 I went in to wait. I let them know that it was under my husbands name and they said that they were behind and hadn’t started on my order yet. I told them that it was okay and I would wait. By 2:10 my order still wasn’t ready, I switched places with my husband because I have a 3 month old and he needed to eat. My husband went inside the restaurant and the guy working there was extremely rude to my husband and told him the problem was because my sandwich was gluten free so they had to clean all the equipment and they had to do everyone else’s sandwiches first. My husband stood there and watched them, they didn’t clean the equipment or while it down or anything. They cleaned the knife and used a different kind of paper and that was it! I’m gluten intolerant and I was really disappointed that they didn’t take any precautions. We normally love Jersey Mikes and hadn’t been to this particular one before…needless to say we will not be going back...
Read moreI tried to order for pickup at the Flint location and for some reason it went through to Grand Blanc. The hold for Postmates was 45 minutes so I decided to contact the GB store directly. I dealt with Hannah and spoke to her 3 times in the entire hour and a half that this went on. She was amazing. The Postmates rep that contacted us both was horribly rude to both of us and kept cutting me off. He wouldn’t listen to me or her when we told him the order was never made and it isn’t ready because I contacted the store asap to let them know the situation as soon as the order was placed. She made sure to let the Postmates rep know I should be credited and not charged. Jersey Mike’s was busy and Hannah didn’t have to keep me in the loop and contact me and deliver outstanding customer service like she did and I appreciate it more than she knows! I ended up placing the order to Flint for pickup and I may not have gotten food from the GB location but I definitely would now. It helps when someone tries to help resolve an issue and go the extra mile. Thank...
