I took my service dog to Starbucks during the week of May 5, 2025. I don't remember the day. But the last time I visited this place with her, they didn't say anything. I set my laptop on the table, bought a drink for myself, and got my dog a pup cup. She literally told us that we couldn't sit in the lobby after we had our drinks. She said we could sit outside when I told her I had documentation she was a service animal. I didn't want to use my laptop outside because I was attempting to get away from home and study for my 40-hour RBT. Too many distractions outdoors.
Going to Starbucks and getting my fur baby a puppy was all I wanted to do since she deserved it for handling her surgery so bravely last month and was finally able to go places again. This saddened me a lot because she's a calm and loving dog. It set me off since I've never experienced a problem in California and relocating to Michigan is already difficult. There don't seem to be many dog-friendly establishments here, in all honesty. I'm not sure I'll ever go to Starbucks again, but I don't want to deny my pet the experience since she only gets to go a few times a year.
This may seem strange, but it could be because of their displeasure with her post-operative appearance. Perhaps they had different ideas because one side is shaved. I say so because, up until that day, I had no problems there. We sat inside once or twice prior. Who knows what their actual problem was. At some point, I want to get in touch with corporate. All I want to do is let them know. I don’t want anything for free, no vouchers or anything. I feel like corporate should be aware of...
Read moreMy sister and I were excited for a fun morning Starbucks run, but unfortunately, the experience left us feeling disappointed.
When I asked for a cotton candy frappuccino — a drink that’s been trending on TikTok — the barista responded harshly, saying “I don’t know what that is,” in a frustrated tone. I politely followed up with, “Okay, can you do a vanilla bean frappuccino with raspberry syrup?” to which she rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah, we can do that,” in a dismissive manner.
My sister then asked, very kindly, if she could have a brown sugar shaken espresso made decaf. As I began to clarify her order, the barista abruptly interrupted me mid-sentence and loudly said, “WE can make any espresso drink decaf,” with clear irritation.
We were beyond polite throughout the interaction — we always treat food service workers with appreciation and kindness. Unfortunately, the employee’s rude and aggressive tone took the joy out of what was meant to be a lighthearted stop.
She had dirty blonde short hair in a pony tail and wore round black glasses. We hope Starbucks will consider hiring team members who reflect the brand’s welcoming atmosphere. This interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant and genuinely put a damper on...
Read moreAs I have been drinking Starbucks for over a decade, and have ordered cold foam drinks for well over 5 years now, and in the entirety of the many years of consuming their wonderful products, Hill road, Center road, as well as the Miller road in the greater Flint area, including in the States of Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Wisconsin. Starbucks throughout Michigan including Grand Rapids, Saginaw, Birch Run, and Fenton areas, I have always been able to order my cold foam drink with my cold foam on the side as I do not want the cold foam to settle in my drink before I get home and have the luxury of being able to proportion to my needs. But apparently the drive-thru order taker at this Grand Blanc location is the beholder of company policy of that is against company policy, considering I can order it this way through the app online, maybe having a conversation as to how this employee speaks with the customer and how to better delegate the situation. Terrible for the employee to be able to take a tone with a customer in such an appalling way. As they also messed up my regular drink and the egg bites were served cold as if never heated is a travesty. Do better, Be better! As always, thank you for your...
