After a day spent hiking in the sun, this place hit the spot! Not from the area, but my husband and I LOVE finding home in the wall/diamond in the rough spots like this. We both got baskets. I got the one with Bacon, Fried Onion and BBQ sauce. My husband got the Jalapeno Popper Basket. Be aware, the photos don't do these burgers justice. Both burgers were amazing, and the fries were just perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Their shakes looked out of this world amazing, but after hiking all day we opted for a coke and a root beer. Both delicious, and fizzy. Not stale. Absolutely stopping here again if we ever find ourselves in this part of the State again.

I want to be fair in this review but my experience was mostly negative: - Not a drive-in, but a take out. No waitress, just a cashier - Chicken strips are not real chicken. It is mechanically separated chicken goop - Fries were freezer burnt - any sauce is extra - picnic tables outside were covered in food scraps from past customers - They charged me $1 for a cup of water - cashier was polite, so that’s a positive (only reason it did not get 1-star) I’m told their basic burgers are good, so I might try those sometime. There has to be some reason why it has a 4+ rating.

To start…..both the tables were clean!! 🤣 now to the review….food…excellent! I got the teriyaki chicken sandwich and that thing was juicy and messy just the way I like it!!! The banana shake was by far the worst thing I’ve ever had I just had to drink it….every last sip!!!! The chunks of bananas….ridiculous who does that 😏 but I don’t leave any behind lol. Hands down a must stop when going thru down!!! Oh and they give u a chance to win your entire meal for free by rolling a Yahtzee….i didn’t win 😢

I have ordered the gluten free chicken strips here a few times. They are pretty good!!! Most importantly the folks at the Teepee are really careful about allergens. My food is always served to me in a separate bag, and this most recent time the person at the counter asked my sister which sauce went to the gf meal and when my sister said they could all go in the non-gf bag, she even double checked “are you sure?” (For me, this is okay, but for others with gluten allergies it wouldn’t be!!) This may seem like a small detail, but this kind of attention to detail can genuinely save lives or at the least avoid a very bad day if someone has a severe allergy. I’ll be going...

So my son and our dog for camping at Steamboat Rock State Park and just came out from swimming on our last day here and thought we would go get something to eat instead of eating hot dogs and fish. So I decided to go to the Teepee restaurant; I got to tell you this is probably the best choice I made all weekend. Their food was was so good and Fry's was the biggest serving ive had in my life and I got a small lol. We also got two milkshakes one butterscotch and the other Oreo, both we're really really delicious. Now the staff that work there we're beyond amazing and she can gave us some bacon for our puppy....
