Just when you thought that you have found a great Mexican restaurant, along comes another great restaurant that is equal or better than the last one, such a restaurant is the Azteca Mexican Restaurant, located at 603 hwy 50 is such a restaurant and like this one there is another one more like this on Horizon Dr.the menus are similar so both of these restaurants are own by the same chain of Mexican foods located throughout the country. The menu is out of this world,if you love Mexican food like I do, you will like this restaurant, the menu is full of delicious favorites, from tacos , enchiladas burritos, that are served with large portions of rice and beans , but there is more goodness in the menu too numerous to mention, so you have to treat yourself to a favolous lunch or dinner, prices are right too, go ahead and checkout the restaurant and while you wait have a great flavor Mexican beer or a margarita of your choice or if you prefer a fountain drink you will be happy that the wait was worth it, meanwhile enjoy chips and salsa to built the appetite, after that you wii came out the restaurant happy as can be and will recommend this restaurant to your friends and family. Guaranteed so if you love Mexican food you will love this restaurant. I will give this restaurant 10 out 10 for great service, great choices of food, and great Mexican flavour foods, go ahead and visit this restaurant your palate will appreciate it,and so your...

Our first time in to Aztecas. Easy access right off Hwy 50 just outside of Grand Junction proper. Very clean inside dining areas and restrooms. Booth and table settings and large tables for groups as well. Relaxed atmosphere and some low volume Spanish music in the background. I mention that only because we e been to some places that the music has to be yelled over to have a conversation.

I ordered pork carnitas and she ordered Camarones ala Crema and we took a Carne Asada Burrito, to go for a friend. Portions were really plentiful. Ingredients tasted fresh and well prepared. My Carnitas were tender chunks of pork that were tasty and not just big pieces of fat. Her shrimp and mushrooms were really good, just maybe a bit too much Crème for her. The Carne Asada burrito was big and the meat had a nice char to it, which he expressed he likes. I’ll have to try that next visit.

Trying to recall our servers name, maybe Zel? Anyways, very friendly and attentive. It started picking up quite a bit during our time there. On our arrival it was another table and ourselves. By the time we left I’d say she had seven tables going and things were clicking right along. My review is 4.5 stars. I recommend...

I think my mom and I got the one set of waitresses that just didn't like white girls. We grew up next to the border and frequently crossed so we know authentic Mexican food and when someone's treating us like gringas. Anyways, not only was the food less than decent, but the three waitresses working stood in the doorway staring at us and talking while we ate. Restaurant was moderately busy and there were like 4 tables full besides us but they made eye contact with us the entire time. Plus I asked very specifically for green salsa - or tomatillo salsa. The waitress looked at me like I asked for a unicorn. She swore she understood what I was talking about and then brought out a literal steaming plate of something green colored. To this day we can't figure out what it was. Wasn't salsa, wasn't chile verde, wasn't enchilada sauce... Wasn't even spicy. Just green and bland. Like baby food.

All I can say is we've had better customer service from taco stands in Tijuana than this, at 10x the cost. Definitely will not be back. If the food had been decent, maybe, but the food was not good. Los J's has more authentic Mexican food and they're...

Sometimes a place can be small and dumpy looking but the food is amazing, that's what I was hoping when I saw this place. I was wrong the food was really bad. The menu is way too large, so it's very hard to choose. I love spicy but the salsa was almost inedible. We asked for a mild version and they brought out cold salsa that tasted like pace. I got the tacos carnitas and though it looks good, it was really rubbery and there was a very long blonde hair in the rice. The waiter did not refill our drinks, and the chairs and tables though they look nice in pictures, were filthy with a thick layer of dust. My husband felt sick after eating his meal and got very bad heartburn. It was gross, dirty, and slow. I should have gone to McDonald's. Then the people next to us ordered fajitas I'm guessing, and the waitress brought out the food it was smoking which is on purpose, but it smoked so much that everyone was coughing and my eyes burned. My baby that was sitting closer to them had a huge coughing fit. We had to leave as soon as we could after that.

Hands down one of the best Mexican Restaurants I've had the privilege to eat it. I went to the Orchard Mesa location in Grand Junction visiting friends and family here. Food was absolutely amazing, service was just incredible, friendly and attentive, portions are huge and the prices are fantastic. As a bonus, for the drinks, alcoholic and sodas, they have that same kind of ice that Sonic uses that everyone craves all the time. Great kids menu, really big dessert menu as well. Pictured we have a Pork Carnitas plate, Shrimp Tacos, Chicken Fajita, Cadillac Margarita, Kids Chicken Nugget Meal, Deep Fried Ice Cream(dessert), and Sopapillas(dessert). I'm gonna try the pineapple tamale on my next visit. Definitely advise anyone visiting or who lives in the area to stop by, I'll definitely be coming back.
