We went for a Christmas lunch with 3 ladies. The overhead music was very loud & obnoxious. We could not even talk over the music…but wait….they turned it up even louder! We asked 3 waitresses to please turn it down…nothing happened. So we then asked for a manager & she was full of excuses, but said she “would try” to do something. Honestly, if I had not been with my 2 lady friends I would have left. Finally the volume was turned down a bit, but still too loud for table conversation. Even the waitress kept asking us to repeat our order. Now the food… we all had the ribs. I’ve never had ribs with bone fragments throughout & each end had a vertebrae bone - weird! Salad & sweet potato was good. We couldn’t wait to leave. I will think twice before going back….if ever!
1-29-24, Second Time - No Improvement. We went back today because we were given a Gift Card & it was my husband’s birthday dinner. He was wanting a steak. The food is fine…but the second we stepped inside the door the music was blaring. I asked the waitress to seat us in a quiet area because it was way too loud. She said she had some other people complain of the loud music too, “but we can’t turn it any lower” (according to her mgr). While we were talking the music was turned lower - so we stayed. I wish we hadn’t! The music became louder in a few minutes. Honestly, I think the manager is the problem, she interacted with the waitress & she is the one that said the music could not be turned down. And I am guessing she is the one that turns it back up! Within 2 minutes I had a headache & couldn’t wait to get out of there! So! NEVER AGAIN! The atmosphere sucks!! Dinner conversation is totally impossible at that place…..but I guess if you’re 20 something you just text the one you’re sitting next to! We normally tip 20%. Not today! We normally have a cocktail. Not today! My husband asked if I wanted an appetizer. Not today! Just wanted out of there as fast as possible! So to sum it up, the restaurant is losing sales & wait staff losing tips….all due to the deafening music. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND TEXAS ROAD HOUSE IN GRAND...
Read moreWe were planning a double Birthday meal. We called on Saturday at 6 and was told that even though the website says 35 minutes that we couldn't get in till 9:30. We decided to go on Sunday so we we called back and set up a time for 6:45. We stude in the lobby till 7:20 then we were talken to 2 tables on together. The hole point of this dinner and calling ahead to reserve a table is so we could be together. If we wanted to have 2 tables we could have just showed up and gotten 2 tables. We told our server that we would like to be together. He said that atleast we were close to each other and laughed. We tried to deal with it and it tuned out to be horrible. We couldn't have a conversation or even share appetizers. Our server took our order and could plainly see a here us comitt that we were not happy with the seating arrangements. I asked for a manager and she showed up and didn't even make eye contact with me. She went to the other table and told them something I couldn't hear her and even though I asked for her she never came to our table. The food was good for the most part. My Son's food was horrible. He wanted chicken fingers fries and mac and cheese. In the menu it says cheeses mac in town what he got was old dried out box mac. His fries were mostly burnt and chicken was rubbery. Our salad had no croutons and was bland and boring with out some crunch. All and all the food was good not great by a long stretch. The bill had a 5% discount on it but that doesn't make up for us not being able to have a conversation and we were charged for my son's drink even though the ranger meal comes with a drink. I am very disappointed with the hole thing. It was the worst experience we have ever had at Roadhouse.
Update We have been back several times and have had a great time and great service. Today we had lunch and we were...
