Just left this place and honestly wasn't going to leave a review until what happened when I tried to pay, so here is my full experience.
Chips taste like they come out of a bag. The salsa was probably the best thing because it looked homemade but needed salt. I ordered the puerco asado (pork stewed in red sauce) WITH DOUBLE BEANS INSTEAD OF RICE with flour tortillas. It tasted like pork pieces that were cooked ahead of time, cooled then (over) fried on a flat top grill, then drenched in sauce. The server had to come back to ask what kind of tortilla again while putting in my order. When my order came, it had rice instead of double beans and corn tortillas. The server realized about the tortillas, but I had to remind her about the beans (which had such little flavor that I had to add salsa to them). When I went to pay, there was a side of beans on my ticket. I told the server, and she tried to blame it on the management, saying they were so bad and were changing so many things and wouldn't allow substitutions. Having owned a restaurant, I can understand that, but I also know you should tell the customer instead of just charging them. In reality, it was $4.00, and I'm fine paying for something as long as I know going in and it's quality, which this was neither. The server said she would get the management, who again told me about the no substitution policy, and I told her the server should have told me beforehand, so she agreed to take it off. Then they both came back, and the server is trying to tell me I ordered the beans after my plate came out, to which I corrected her, and so she changed her story to I ordered extra beans. The food cost to the restaurant on that order of beans is probably .25 cents, but today it cost that, and a 1 star review for the mediocre food and BAD SERVICE! On top of it all they charge you to us your credit card. That's just cheap. It's a cost of doing business. What's next, charge me for the light use...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the restaurant the workers were sitting either eating or on their phones. I was attended by the lady shown, she was eating the entire time while serving me. They were having difficulty in splitting a check & when asked for a receipt I noticed there was a difference in the topo chico preparado. On the menu it said 5.99 while on the receipt it said 7.99. When I pointed out the mistake they were having issue in resolving it & offered a dollar back when I said it was roughly a 2 dollar difference “the manager” began asking the worker if she should give it. The worker shrugged her shoulders & handed me it while saying she doesn’t know why people go out to eat if they don’t have the money. The money was not an issue, they couldn’t even break the 100. It was a restaurant mistake why would I pay more over that. She then began talking about a tip, which I then replied why would u get a tip if ur reacting like this over a restaurant mistake & not attending us but eating instead. I always tip, but quite frankly after she began trying to insult I no longer felt she deserved anything as she barely even did her job. Once I started leaving she began insulting me calling me names in which I then began to record her & say the same stuff back to her & she kept trying to “threaten me” by calling the police in which I didn’t care bc I did nothing wrong. When I left my sister called the restaurant & the “manager” picked up the phone & I could hear the ugly lady in the back still talking about the incident & telling “the manager” to answer saying “it’s the police” in which she did. The worst experience I’ve ever received, the chips were stale & the salsa was runny. Overall the place needs new workers because the one in Arlington is so much better attending wise & having...
Read moreI seen such good reviews, it's very nicely decorated and really clean however waitress was not the best ,she was young which was no excuse, she was not one for coming back to check and see if we needed anything she would walk by and ignore us and we would have to flag her down several times or another waiter ,So I get my receipt and I ask what are the up charges she says o your food comes with cheese only meat is extra, still advise the customer dont just charge them. We ordered mango frozen margaritas after the first they told us they were out and bought one on the rocks it taste different and took a long time to make there were a lot of different hands back behind the bar which is already unsanitary ,not sure if someone was experimenting or what and I became Ill immediately ,I could barely walk up my stairs at home and yep it made me vomit ,that was last night I am still sick today, the food was just okay not great very bland no flavor , have no idea what made me sick im...
