I can not explain in words the amount of disappointment I had with my visit to 616 pita. We got the gyro and a small hummus topped with chicken shawarma. The pita was so stale it fell apart in my hand and tasted stale. The vegtibles were not fresh, visably wilted. The hummus had a thin consistentancy and also came with dried out chicken shawarma. I don't give this review lightly. I usually go th Chicago gyro, I have never been so disappointed with a gyros, we spent 46 bucks and the gyro fell apart my 3 bite because the pita was so dried out. I wanted to call and talk to a manager because the review online were so good I thoughr this was gonna be good. I wouldn't even return if they gave me a refund. The sauce was good, the meat had good flavor. They gave me old food. Not fresh at all. I imagine it would have been much better if it was fresh veggies and the meat. The meat was not prepared fresh. The pita not fresh and veggies not fresh. You can see the dehydration in the chicken shawarma, the served me yesterdays left overs is what it taste like. So unhappy 🙁 then after they read my review they implied it was my specific taste. Must been also my wife's taste is messed up, they say there vegetables are cut fresh at 11am ... well being in food business ... they should know lettuce will wilt if not stored at proper temp in matter of hours. There was no crunch at all ... If lettuce doesn't crunch when u bite into it, it's wilted from getting to warm for too long... that didn't happen in 10 mins before I tried to eat it. I picked the meat out of the gyro cuz that was the only thing that tasted good... I have had toasted pita and it doesn't fall apart like that, they also implied I don't know what fresh toasted pita taste like. They said they spoke to other guests that ate at the same time and loved their food only there's was only one other customer on a scooter the hour we were in the area. I didn't see a single car pull up .. instead of just saying sorry you didn't enjoy you experience, they want to make it look like the customer is wrong and has messed up taste buds lol. I don't know what fresh food taste like. The place was dead and we got old food. Chalk it up how every you like. Don't waste you time . If you want a good fresh gyro... with crisp lettuce and veggies... Chicago style gyro is spot... sadly they were closed today.

Small Mediterranean restaurant. - Boneless chicken wings with Teriyaki sauce: This was the champion of the experience. They are NOT on the menu, but they are available for a relatively low price. The meat was juicy and full bodied! The outer layer kept it all together and was sprinkled with a small bit of greens. It was richly coated with a sweat, tangy, and mildly spiced Teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki is not everyone’s taste and they have plenty of others to choose from. I highly recommend the wings! They need to incorporate it more into their regular menu and online ordering! - Fries: Thicker cut and good texture. Needed a tad more salt, but not an issue. They stayed warm for a while (except the ones at the very top). - Chicken Lemon Soup: My friend had it and said that it was great and filling. - Gyro: My friend had it and said that the meat was a bit dried out and the bread uninteresting. - Atmosphere: Felt multi-national for sure. The music playing was quiet, but set a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/Indian tone. The seating was like Subway (it used to be a Subway). The dining area seemed a bit tight/small. Some of the screens on the wall were flickering off and on, others were not used at all. Some walls had mounted items removed. The parking lot needs repair. - Service: Very pleasant and helpful. Answered all my questions and spoke English very clearly and fluently. They do have fountain drinks and self-serve water/ice with plastic cups. NOT fast food. The food did take a while to make, but it was done expertly, cleanly, and with attention to detail. Value seemed to be on the higher end. The food quality you get is better than what you pay for (generally).

I do not understand how this restaurant has 4.9 stars with nearly 500 reviews. I ordered a falafel pita and it was the worst I’ve ever had. Despite coming with two sauces (“white sauce” and hummus), it was extremely dry. The toppings were scant and the amount of each different topping varied widely. I had 2 tiny pieces of pickled turnip in my entire wrap and minimal diced tomatoes, but very large and numerous chunks of cabbage and red onion. The falafel was also extremely dry (and a weird shape?). The fries were good, though lukewarm. The floor of the restaurant was sticky, and the tables dirty. The employees were friendly. Standing by for owner’s passive aggressive reply to this honest review..

TLDR: We used 616 Kabob Stop for our lunch catering at a recent event. The food and service were outstanding. Our guests were very complementary about how tasty all of the food was, and they were able to get as much as they wanted. I would definitely recommend and will use them again.

The order met all the dietary needs we had with the group (gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, etc.). The delivery staff made a point to share any specific items that didn't fit those restrictions, so we could advise our guests appropriately.

As someone that regularly needs to provide lunch at all day training events, I like to have different types of food options, so it's not always the same food every time. This was our first time using 616 Kabob, and I was impressed with their responsiveness and communication throughout. Especially, when the order was picked up and on its way the day of our event. They made sure we knew the status and timing of delivery via text.

During ordering, they provided guidance on food quantities and suggested offerings based on what travels and keeps well from the time it's made to when it's consumed by attendees. I was glad to have that input to ensure everything was executed and received well. They even had several addons to the order that came with the quantities purchased. It was nice not to be charged for every single sauce or side and that the order came with those extras.

I'm also typically nervous about quantities with new vendors, but they assured me the order we had would be plenty of food for the 30 people we had, and they were spot on. We had more than enough to go around, which is always my biggest concern that we don't run out of anything.

They provided plates, napkins and silverware for an extra charge that was well worth it. We did provide our own beverages since we had those in place for the full event time, so we hadn't asked them if this was an optional addon. They even checked in with us later that evening to ensure everything with the service and food went well and if we had any feedback to assist with future needs.

I definitely recommend them for catering services and will use them again. Our guests enjoyed the food so much several asked where it was from, so they could use them for some upcoming events they...
