My wife and I used Cafe De Miro as our wedding caterer and although we did like the food! The reason for the one star review is the fact that we sent multiple timelines for them in addition to our day of cordinator also communicating with them. They forgot to bring the appetizers out for cocktail hour and then blamed us saying we never asked for them to. They showed up late even though the place we were having our reception at was above their restaurant. They served dirty dishes to our guests. They forgot to set up until the reception was already under way. And were still putting out silverware during the speeches. They forgot dishes for the head table completely! After food was done and the caters cleaned up. The owner of Cafe De Miro decided to stay in our venue and eat food and take work phone calls. It was one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen a caterer do during a wedding. I would never suggest them for anyone looking for a caterer.
Edit. The owner did call and apologized for what happened as well as giving the money back for...
Read moreThe minute I walked in to this place, I was in love. The design is warm and chic with a Mediterranean accent. I would go back based on the design and positive feng shui alone. The chairs are much more comfortable than any other coffee shop nearby, so I could stay there and work or read for several hours. The food: I ordered the toast with mahamarra spread the first time I went. It was so good I went back a second time and ordered the exact same thing. The cafe is family-run and you can feel their warmth and friendliness in the place. The first time I went, I had a great conversation with the owner about her history in Turkey and Sweden, and then her husband (I think) brought me an off-menu crepe with Nutella and strawberries. I couldn't help but think of the late Marie Catrib, with her warmth and the free snacks she would bring to customers waiting to be seated. This place is a breath of fresh air in a market glutted by uber-hip coffee places and juice bars that lack warmth and coziness. I can't...
Read moreIt is so adorable inside! I love how it's set up and the whole aesthetic of it all. The food is just very expensive. I ordered for dine-in and I got the the green omelet, but they served me scrambled eggs with very little too no seasoning of salt. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to be, but I just thought my omelet would be intact. I see the online menu provides a description that its scrambled, but when I was ordering inside, it didn't say that it was scrambled so I felt misled of it being called an omeket dish. I also got the pesto toast and the bread is just divine! Just disappointed in my eggs I got. I also ordered the Turkish coffee and it was so tiny and cute and delicious. I would love to try it again but I remember a smoothie cost $10 and the prices are just a bit too...
