Mai's Thai — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

The new management is horrible. I ordered take out, in which, my order consisted of Thai fried rice with chicken, two orders of crab rangoon & Sweet/ sour chicken. My order came out to $30. Get home to enjoy our meals and we're disappointed. There was 2 pieces of chicken in a sauced out veggie pan & the crab rangoons were utterly just a shell. Upon calling the establishment to make them aware, I was placed on hold so the guy could inquire with the cook(s). He comes back on the line and tells me "the cook said he put ten pieces of chicken" in the sauce out veggies. He stated, "we actually count our chicken and I'm going with what they say". I was flabbergasted!!! However, I said "Okay, thank you" Needless to say, I'll never be eating...

Protein portion sizes are terrible! Check your order before pulling away from the window! My husband and I love the chicken curry pad thai, but not once have I ever received more than 2 or 3 pieces of chicken. Today, I paid $3.18 per meal for extra chicken, and there's a whopping 5 pieces of chicken in EACH of mine and my husband's meals. Very disappointed, as this has happened to us numerous times. I'm not sure how they sleep at night charging people $3 per dish for extra meat and don't even supply the base amount that should come in the dish in the first place. I will not be giving them any more of my business, nor will I be recommending them to anyone...

Just went here and ordered the peanut curry dish. I have been here a few times but this will definitely be my last. The person on the phone barely understood me but thats normal at these restaurants. I arrived at the window and the guy that processed the payment was vary weird. I only asked 1 question and he looked at me like i was crazy. This dish cost me $14.50 the container was vary empty with little substance. The rice was chewy and the peanut sauce with little flavor. I tried to make this place work but with red bowl a half a mile further. I will be going there instead. They have large portions and rich flavor for only...
