Mary Waters Park — Attraction in Grand Rapids

Went for winter sledding, and it did not disappoint! There are 3 different sized hills (big one you can see from Leonard and Lafayette, medium one that ends in the parking lot, and a smaller one on the south side of the parking lot). We had a lot of fun, and there was plenty of space to spread out, especially for the very small crowd that was there.

There’s not much at all in the way of parking - 5 or 6 spots, with one dedicated for handicap use. There’s also a playground and a bathroom building (that seemed to be open, though I didn’t check it out...

Very nice community park! The park has a small splash pad and two separate playgrounds for the kiddos to enjoy themselves. One of the playgrounds looked a bit in need of TLC though. There's also a basketball court in the park. In between the two playgrounds, there's a pavilion with 6-7 picnic tables under it. Restrooms are nearby as well. great clean open area, that's very well maintained. there is no soap in the bathrooms. when I went today with my toddler, a few minutes after arriving, a man dressed in all black with a creepy demeanor walked into the woods. then 20 minutes later a male bum with a limp and mix-matched sandals came walking slowly around the perimeter. I wouldn't go here...
