What can I say! The service at the bar was top notch! After a little wait just because I showed up in the middle of service I was greeted by friendly wait staff that were all very accommodating.
But let’s talk about the old fashions….OMG life changing!!! I ordered the Wagyu burger and while I’m biased because my restaurant has them and impartial to ours it’s was still very good! My only complaint was the bun was a little crunchier than I would have preferred but once you get into the burger the fat content from the Wagyu really explodes and I forgot all about the bun. The cream brûlée also to die for! Left nearly diabetic it was so delicious and perfectly sweet and the fresh fruit on top a welcome addition to the mighty and airy center. Now the espresso martini! Also a must have but definitely ask the bartenders for their favorite drinks to make because while I can’t recall the name it was sooo good! All in all a top tier experience and I’ll definitely be going back! Helps that I’m staying in the Hilton so I don’t have to go far or drive! Keep up the great work and until next time 5 stars all day everyday!
Now they also offer breakfast and they have a croissant BLT and the bacon is almost 3/4 inches thick it’s mind blowing and sooooo good and the coffee was the best part! Definitely worth the trip out for...
Read moreReally good service. Loved the atmosphere inside and was open and inviting. Like most others have said the charcuterie board was quite good (comes in two sizes). Wife really liked the hush puppies, they had a good crunch and weren't dry. The potato latkes we're pretty good initially but not so much once they got cold (we ordered a bunch of food). The mushroom bruschetta was also pretty good but could get soggy if not eaten relatively quick. The deep fried feta ball on the side was a nice addition and certainly added to the bruschetta. The turkey ravioli had a really good sauce but I think the polenta gets lost. We finished with the sweet potato macarons. Overall felt like this is a great addition to the restaurant scene downtown. It's a nice addition you can venture upstairs to their rooftop...
Read moreI came to Portico with my family to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our experience was absolutely amazing in every way possible. I love the style of furniture and interior design of the space which was actually my main motivation for making a reservation (my husband and I are furniture buffs). The food was DELICIOUS—the cornbread crab hush puppies, the latkes, the bread plate, and especially the Poulet d’Portico sandwich were absolutely to die for. Not to mention the sweet potato macaroons & the complementary sample/cocktail at the beginning of our meal. Our server, Liz M, was sweet and accommodating (& had the most precious southern accent). Our visit to Portico was, hands down, the best dining experience I have ever had in my entire life. Highly...
