Stopped here after driving by the previous night and noticing what looked like an awesome upstairs patio with string lights and what appeared to be an outdoor TV. I stopped for brunch and arrived shortly after opening. They have a huge TV wall and a small stage on the second floor, along with that rooftop area on the third floor, which I didn't get to see, up close, in person, because I was told it was seasonal - which is totally fair! I love the concept of this place, but what I don't love is that it is 100% country music. 🤮 Such a polarizing music choice seems risky, but I hope there are enough country fans who want to pay for this kind of environment to make it work, but I love the location. The brunch menu was creative, but lacked a good variety of choices. I ended up getting the biscuits and gravy. It was completely cold, but even so, I could tell it would have been good heated throughly. I would get it again.... Mostly because there was not a whole lot of other options that piqued my interest. My dining partner got the hammie jam (or something like that) and totally raved about how good it was, so as far as good goes, as long as it comes out warm, it's a potential winner. The drinks are more expensive than I'd like. A mimosa cost $10, which seems like a fair price, except right down the road, 2 blocks away, I can get equally strong (if not stronger) $6 mimosas. My partner had the rock n rye and was raving about it for days, so something definitely to try. Between the good but cold food, the OK but expensive drinks, the great location and concept, but polarizing music choice, I would rate this average. It has great potential, but is definitely not maximizing it's customer base by choosing country music in a downtown adjacent location. But I could be wrong. And I'd love to be proven wrong since this is 2 blocks from my home and, of course, I want to see companies thrive near my home base, but I likely won't be coming back unless one of my friend's decides it's the...
Read moreI’m not one to usually leave bad reviews, but I feel I need to. First off parking in their lot is $11! No other parking lot in this area is $11 and it was a Sunday afternoon. The service was sub par at best. The waitress only asked for half of the tables’ drinks, and 2 of the guests had to ask multiple times for the beer and root beer they ordered. We placed an order of wings for the table and the waitress said that she didn’t know if they had any left because her tablet would not allow her to add wings. After seeing wings come out to multiple tables, we asked again, she said she would have to check after asking multiple times if she checked, we finally got to order wings. Our meals came out before the wings. The restaurant was not full for us to be asking multiple times for things. We had to get our own silverware and napkins from the wait station. The waitress would come to the table and then just abruptly leave. The brisket pops came out cold. We ordered two children’s meals of chicken fingers that literally came out RAW, and we had to send them back. So two children sat while everybody had their food, and they were not offered any potato chips or anything to have while they waited. The beer was warm. To compensate for all the issues we had they offered us two desserts for a table of 12. Unacceptable - still had To pay for the meals of raw chicken. The manager never came and checked on the table after serving raw chicken to children. The tomato soup with the grilled cheese sandwich was more like a marinara sauce than a soup. You would definitely not eat it with a spoon. They did not have cups for kids or a children’s printed menu either. Overall incredibly disappointed. The atmosphere is great, there’s a lot of potential, but the service misses are too large to...
Read moreI’m not normally one to bother with a negative review, but in the hopes ownership will see this and address an employee who’s clearly checked out, I’ll submit one just in case. My husband and I went in on a Tuesday evening a little after 8 pm hoping to try out a new place in town. The hostess indicated there was trivia upstairs so we were game to be seated on the second floor. Mistake. There is a giant video board with the brightness of a 1000 suns and no dark mode so we were blinded most of the evening. Our server (I believe Maya?) was helpful at first, taking our drink orders, getting us waters and an appetizer. Food/drinks were pretty tasty. And then we waited. And waited. Nearly 45 minutes until she returned to take our dinner orders and get us another round of drinks (which were empty). We ordered dinner and another round. She comes back a minute later and tells us the kitchen is closed (at 9:15 pm when the place is open until 10 pm). We express our dismay and she mouths something about having the entire section to herself. Another family next to us had to go to the bar to cash out after waiting 45 minutes for attention too! She then cashed us out and we discovered after we arrived home she charged us for 2 drinks we never received. Seems like it could be a cool place but they need more/better staff.
[Edit: The business provided an email to me to resolve my review. I emailed and they never responded. I stand...
