The Pubb Food & Spirits — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

So I’m a regular at the pub and up until this point I’ve always had good things to say. However now, If I could rate this place zero stars, I would.

if you’re a POC, a young adult in general, or not a local that the owner or the “bar manager” Travis/Trevor is personally familiar with, you either won’t be served or you’ll be served very last. stay very far away from here. Unless you absolutely know your bartender you’re coming for.

a friend and I came here after their Christmas party. We waited for 10-15 minutes before the owner even came and addressed us. No napkins placed down no friendly smile no warm demeanor from the staff, nothing. They didn’t even have most regular top shelf or even bottom shelf liquor. So the pretentiousness from the owner and the “bar manager” was terribly misplaced. This place seems like it needs new ownership because it is quite literally a dump. Went to this bar yesterday/night and had the pleasure of being waited on by a girl named Sydney! She was such a sweetheart, friendly and just all around welcoming. We had a blast. The bar was clean and the patrons/regulars were super friendly and kind. As a previous bartender myself I appreciated the hospitality. Haven't been there before but I will definitely be back to see her. I found out that she works Monday nights and Thursday and Friday days! Very disappointed in how our party was treated last nigh! The bartender was absolutely rude. We were bar hopping on a party bus with a party of 14 and after another west side bar couldn't accommodate us we decided to go to The Pubb. They were not that busy. As our group made their way in and tried to order drinks the bartender literally turned her back to us and wouldn't even acknowledge that we were there.
