12-18-22 They decided to close the lobby early so door dashers are having to wait in their extreme long drive through lines.
2-24-23: my kids were being in their best behavior and so I decided to take them to lunch and play in the play place. We got the the McDonald's it was busy and hard to find a parking spot, we came in, ordered from the robot, then heard the manager arguing with another customer over deleting his coupon. This poor abuela is not the right person to be in management she was rude to the next three customers including myself and family. She didnt complete the order with drinks so I asked her for the cups and she throws 5 large cups at me. Obviously my babies aren't going to drink large drinks, but I just filled the cups with what I knew they would drink. I asked for ketchup because it's not by the drink station, they have it in a bucket on the counter of the pick up window. The last thing someone would want to do is swim through people waiting for their orders in order to grab a couple ketchup packets.
The dining area, play area and restrooms definitely need cleaned. It honestly looks like the bare minimum is being done, and I would know, I used to manage a McDonald's and other restaurants.

Read moreThere is an issue with my order every single time I go to this location at night. I had a mobile order, & I arrived to the restaurant at 2:40am; I did not leave with my food until 3:55!! I am not exaggerating at all either. I sat in line for an about a hour and then when I finally got up to the speaker, the person tells me to hold on, & they had me waiting for 30 minutes, with them saying nothing at all! So I finally just drove up to the windows, waited for the cars in front of me to finish, when it’s my turn, the woman says she can’t pull up my order & needs me to tell her it all again so she can redo the whole thing, so I tell her and then they try to tell me they can’t serve me cuz they are only accepting cash, I tell them that I was already charged on the app, & they get mad and treat me as if I’m doing something wrong, bring me a bag of food, & rudely informs me that they are out of pies, so there are extra cookies in the bag. I paid for pies, shouldn’t you ask me if that’s ok first? Or refund me my money? Don’t assume I am Ok with cookies instead and keep my money?! On top of all that, my fries were cold and disgusting and the Big Mac was old and had nothing on it. I asked for it to have no pickles and instead it was completely plain and dry. Sadly, the quality of service has gone way down at this McDonald's. What once was superior customer service is now another place to expect the worst. Somewhere to expect rude staff, long waits with unapologetic mistakes. With figures in place as management but no discernable positive managing observed, at least for sure with the male manager on evenings/nights. Clearly this location has made changes in it's staffing and service policies and they all appear to be bad.
Of all McDonald's in the local Kansas City area the Grandview location is far beyond any of the others I have visited. It is well maintained and well staffed, except late hours which is pretty common for all. I have been going since they opened over a decade ago. So from taking my sons in for happy meals and to play inside to now for the occasional drive thru visits for my husband and I to treat ourselves to a mcafe coffee they're great.
