Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Granite City

I usually come once a week for a quick and easy dinner. But tonight that was not the case, it took 15 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge us. We then ordered our drinks and an appetizer. It took 20 mins for that to arrive. We then ordered our food. It took over an hour for us to start to get the food our table had ordered. By that point we said we would like box’s. They hadn’t finished the steak skillet yet so they were to box that in the back. My mistake maybe but I should have checked the bag after being assured everything was in there. I get home and that was not the case. I was missing both sides. I called and went back to get them. I arrive back home thinking maybe I could finally eat after almost 2 hours. I cut open my steak to find that it’s still raw all through the middle. Not anywhere near where I asked it to be. A waste of 60$. I am very understanding places get busy. But when the waitress herself says ya it’s not busy out here and they have a 48 minute cook time per table something...

My grandmother and I attended applebees in granite city Illinois... We saw many seats in the front and the hostess still took us to the back where no-one else was. I know other sections where open because looking at her board I saw many other seats open.. After we were seated we met an amazing waitress with the most positive energy.. Her name was keke. We then ask for waters to drink when my water was brought out it was a plastic top stuck down inside... I didn't make a big deal I just ask for another cup of water. Then my grandmother found grains in the bottom of her cup we were disgusted. After our food came out my food was clearly warmed up and my grandmothers was ice cold like it had been sat in a refrigerator. Our waitress offered to take it and try again we were so disgusted we refused and left. I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK AGAIN!!!! I will make sure no friends or family go either.. I do NOT recommend this place...

Visited this location with my mom and grandma who were visiting for out of state, the waitress took out drink order and came back quickly to take our order (my mother was not sure yet asked for a few more minutes) waitress said ok and walked away, not even 2 mins later came back and asked for the order again, my moms once again asked for a few more minutes. The waitress walked away and never did come back, 15 mins after she asked for a few mins a new waiter came and took out order (he was training and with a skilled server) the waitress he was working with than told us she would be taking care of us now. It took 20 mins for the appetizer tk come out, than another 35 for our lunch. There was a group that came in 25 mins after us, who received their order first. When we did get our food it was lukewarm and the taste was mediocre, definitely will not be spending money...
