CJ Coffee and Grill — Restaurant in Grants Pass

The rustic sheik brickwork of the building will bring you back to a simpler time. There are brick arches inside that are stunning to run your eyes over as you wait for your excellent cup of coffee or treat to be prepared. The staff was friendly and had quick smiles as well as pep in their step to get my order out. With that being said, the real winner here for me was the bathroom. The party I was with had no less than 18 people, all of which needed to use the graciously provided loo. It was clean and well stocked, and held up like a champ for the 30 minutes where we put it through its paces. Coffee here is absolutely terrible. They say they have organic coffee like they actually care about quality but as someone who takes coffee/espresso seriously can see through the facade of BS they’re throwing at you. Ordered a latte w/ whole milk. No sugar or any BS and the drink was undinkable. You can not only taste how old the coffee is but you can also taste how poorly extracted everything is. Food is okay at best. My breakfast burrito was literally dripping in grease. If you’re going precook all your meat, at least use a slotted spoon to drain the grease. A group of my friends and I ordered from CJ coffee a few days ago and our group is very particular because we have a few severe food allergies. We made a big order and kind of anticipated something would be left off or forgotten. The orders ended up all mixed up and the response we got from one of the cashier's over the phone was less than favorable so I asked to speak with the manager. I got in contact with Mercedes (owner) the next day and she remade the ENTIRE order from the day before ($75 worth of burritos) needless to say we were all very impressed and the food was excellent...
