River Valley Restaurant — Restaurant in Cave Junction

Staff was friendly. I was seated at a dirty table. Waitress put down the menu and silverware and asked if I wanted something to drink. I said Id like to have the table wiped. She seemed surprised but got a cloth and cleaned the table. I had a grilled ham and cheese with a bowl of potato soup. Food came promptly and it was pretty good. The entire place is in need of a cleaning. Floors, carpet and even the patio seating area had so much debris on them. The carpet is nearly black on the walkway areas and could use a good shampooing. The flies were also terrible. Even tho the food was pretty good, I wouldnt return or recommend this place to friends/family because of the dirty conditions. I hope the areas unseen by customers: kitchen, food prep area ect, were cleaner the rest...

This place serves diner food. It's delicious, it's simple, it's consistent. I've only come for breakfast here so please keep that in mind. The portions are generous and a good value.

The waitresses rock. I've never had a bad one. The customer base here seems really loyal. I guess I count as loyal since this is my go-to Josephine County breakfast spot despite living about an hour away.

I usually get the diced veggie scramble with a biscuit and hash browns. I love their hash browns because they are crispy and delicious like God intended. The biscuit is enormous, light, and fluffy. My normal dining companion is vegan and they make him home fries with every vegetable in the house. It's not on the menu but they never seem bothered by the request.

AMAZING! We just happened to be driving by (not from this area) and it looked busy-ish and we said "let's stop here for lunch". There was no room to dine indoors at the time (noon on a very warn Sunday) so we at eon the patio which would have been nicer if the traffic noise wasn't so loud, but ok. It is what it is. Our waitress (Hope) was great! The menu was full of superb options and the prices were fair (especially after coming from a beachy-town in CA where the prices were so inflated). We had a breakfast with hamburg steak and coffee / and a vegetable panini with the side choice being french fries. Under $30 and we were full full full! Could not be happier!
