Tussing Park — Attraction in Grants Pass

The grounds are well maintained, although the last evening of visiting the park a large branch high up (50' +) had broken loose from a fir tree(or alike one) off causing a fire & bringing down electrical wires. The quickness of the park management & fire dept. had all concerns under control within two hours. No major damages & the following day was business as usual. Beautiful, relaxing suroundings. Tussing is a great little park with lots of trees, picnic tables, benches, and access to the water. I went and hung a hammock for a bit, was a nice chill spot. (Update)Went back today, I guess 2-3 years later from my first review, and was surprised to find 4 tents set up and being lived in, a parent verbally berating her child while roller skating,1 felony assault, followed by a police situation I didn't want to be a part of.... 2/10 will wait another 2 years...

The area is place to start a trek ,or a planned bike ride with friends ,Tussing Park is a nice location to meet to break up those long hours on the job ,or from the long hrs spent working in triple digit heat on the Cement and Blacktop area where you live an work.Tussing Park provides that atmosphere where all areas of the mind could wander..
