Taco Dan's is almost like something out of a dream. We found this randomly after working a festival in Thornville Ohio and drove 40 minutes just to have some margaritas and Tacos. As we walked up the old Victorian steps we were almost wondering if our hippie selves should walk inside. The moment we walked in the door our mouths dropped, our eyes as wide open as they could be, and immediately felt a wave of excitement, curiosity, and intrigue. We almost thought we walked into the wrong place and into someone's home. So comforting. We spoke with some locals as we marveled at the board and all the options to eat. We immediately felt at home as the owners welcome to us and started chatting with us at the bar. We ended up staying almost the entire afternoon, easily 6 hours. We shared stories, chatted with Barb and her son, and bought plenty of vintage clothing from their selection. (They had some AMAZING vintage clothing) I literally would go to Granville, Ohio from Michigan just to visit Taco Dan's and spend a day with that family. Lovely place, lovely people, lovely atmosphere....

If you have an ounce of the laid back West Coast within you, however, Taco Dans will be a good fit for you. If you've been missing good Mexican fare (rare in Newark and Granville) then give Dan's a try. I got a chicken burrito and it reminded me of an old fave in Utah called Roberto's. There was no shortage of chicken in there, and I got it loaded so I have plenty of leftovers. The price is on point too; my husband and I spent $22 and some change for a date night out and we weren't disappointed. My husband completely finished his plate of beef enchiladas, and he hasn't given any other Mexican Food place in this area as high of a rating as he gave...

The meat is always so tender and it feels like itâs melting in your mouth. The chips even have special work to them, I recommend getting the chips and quest and the quesadilla or chimichanga, but you really canât go wrong with your order and donât even get me started on the salsa, itâs sooooo good and the cilantro taste and the kick are all very clear. Elsie ally the salsa verde. They are a small business and bar but they are definitely nice to kids, and could you really use some more customers, highly recommend I really canât think of any other Mexican...
