Bubba's Bagels — Restaurant in Grass Valley

Wow I think covid must have really did a number on the employees and the owner. They seem to have fallen into a habit of double charging for certain items overcharging for all items and then making the customers feel rude when asked to be charged the proper amount. If you look you can see the hunger in the eyes of the owner the hunger for your money if she could she reach into your pocket and take it all but instead she's forced to her wily ways. When we initially got in the little store it was a customer fighting for her money back then we were forced to fight for our money back and I assume the customers after us went through the same ordeal such a shame because the bagels are quite good I don't know how they justify charging $3.50 for cream cheese that's more than the bagel costs. So even if we were rang up properly we'd be paying out the nose over $5 for a simple bagel with cream cheese. Really it's too bad I know times are hard but theft and misinformation are just taking the struggle a little too...

I've only tried their bagel sandwiches a few times and I like the food. Good taste, portions and price.

However, like others have mentioned, the service here is a real miss. You can tell no one in the shop knows how to properly run this establishment regarding daily operations.

The average wait seems to be 25+ minutes no matter how many employees are back there. I'm all for hiring teens to show them the value or work but there seems to be no manager on the floor who knows what they are doing. They always have 5+ workers back there but they're so disorganized, they're always walking back and forth asking questions or not knowing what goes in what sandwich. And there's always a line of people waiting for their food and others waiting to order all while some employees seem to be doing nothing just standing around.

I hope this place is able to figure it...

Food is great, but they recently changed their sausage.. that's not nearly as good anymore. Usually their service is good- though there have been times where I've asked for a reduction that ended up on my sandwich anyways. I'll chalk that up to force of habit. That's not really a big deal. But their store front is tiny, their line is confusing so if it's pretty busy you're probably going to get cut in line. Definitely a to go only spot. There's a few bar stools but that's for waiting customers. The thing that annoys me most is they NEVER pick up the phone. Door dash and their store front charge an extra fee for using card. And their parking lot is very small, pretty difficult to get out of, especially if you have to get back on the highway-no left turn.
