This was a Great food and drinks place to go to but In the last year it has went down hill considerably. They now have a male server who seems to take his time doing just about everything there. If you get him expect you will get cold food and warm drinks. The margaritas used to be so great now they are watered down because it takes him so long to bring a pitcher to the table.. Request a female server if you can but if hes the only one there and If you still want to enjoy good food go to the bar order from there and eat there at least then you will have a great Margarita freshly made and food delivered to you sitting at the bar. If you want a quaint, low- key casual dining experience in the heart of Grayslake, give Abel’s a try for good basic Mexican fare or pizza. The menu prices are a great value for the dishes and Margaritas are delicious. The servers are friendly and efficient although our alcoholic beverages were a bit slow due to one bartender to handle a hopping bar on a Friday night and dining room orders. The reasons for rating one less star are the limited hours (Wed.-Sat) and the chicken tacos which seemed to be cubed chicken thigh meat rather than white meat. Definitely not a pizza spot worthy of a visit... Everything else is excellent!!

Pizza is overrated on the reviews. This was not expected after seeing many "amazing pizza" comments.

Being a pizza lover and literally trying every spot on the north shore, I was dying to try.

I would like to follow the bandwagon but I have to be honest. I'd say at best a 1 out of 5 as a true and honest opinion.

Tacos on the other hand are delicious with generous portions all the way around. Drinks are awesome and fairly priced!
