Definitely the best take-out Chinese food in the area. Forget the other "chains" and order from here. There are a few tables and chairs for those who care to eat on the run, however the bulk of the business is takeout -- delicious take out. Wide range of authentic Chinese dishes, plentiful portions and quickly prepared. They can also make small changes to your dish -- I prefer the mixed vegetables with a white sauce - allows the flavor of vegetables to come through better - not the brown sauce that usually comes with it. No problem. Or if you want them to go lightly on the oil in the wok, you just have to ask them. Though their prices have gone up bit by bit over the years, they are still competitively priced. Lastly, I love that it is a local and family business. When I first moved to the area, I would always notice one of their primary school-age daughters diligently working on her homework at a nearby table. Whenever done, she would help prepare the paper bags for takeout. Today that young lady now deftly expedites all the orders that come in while she handles the cash register, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe prices on Google need to be updated, and the menu photos should be deleted. Per the prices on Google, my total rounded up to $44. I wasn't given a total when I placed my take out order over the phone, but I was told '10 minutes' for it to be ready. First of all, they could have taken 15 to 20 minutes if they needed to because then maybe the crab rangoon and vegetable egg rolls wouldn't have tasted undercooked (more chewy rather than crispy wrappers). I understand that inflation has caused prices to increase, but $23 in addition to my expected approximately $44 total?!? I wouldn't have minded so much if the food tasted good, but I don't think I'll be taking a chance at giving this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have lived in Grayslake for years, but only recently tried Panda. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. I give it 2 stars because their fried dumplings were very good. There were 4 of us and we split 2 meals, 2 small pints and 1 appetizer to get a variety. Our bill was $70!!! The food is edible (not great), but certainly not worth $70. The meals are heavily sauced and contain very small quantities of the chosen protein. For that price you might as well make the trip to get P.F. Changās, and get much higher quality meals. I love supporting small local businesses, but I cannot...
