Coming from New York I was incredibly disappointed by this place. Typically I take any bagel place with a grain of salt when it's out of the Long island area but this was especially disappointing. Bagels were ok at best. Too small and not really thick enough. The only saving grace was that it tasted good seasoning wise. What really got me is that fact that they call themselves a deli and yet the eggs aren't cooked fresh. Pre prepared frozen egg patties shoved in the microwave. It's especially pathetic because there was a gas station 10 minutes down the road with a grill making actual fresh eggs for a fraction of the price. Which brings me to my next point that I can get a fresh egg sandwich with 2 eggs and more generous meat for cheaper at almost any deli where I'm from. Probably at the gas station down the road too. And finally after ordering my 2 sandwiches, one came out with the wrong meat. When I went back up to the counter the man who I presume is either the owner or manager was trying to imply that I didn't order the correct meat. I would not return...
Read moreNice place for a quick bite. Had high hopes for this place because my son kept telling us how great it is. The place itself is nice, lots of seating, plenty of parking and the staff are very nice. I just wish the person who made my order looked at my bagel and thought maybe I should make another one. It was burnt. I had a bec on everything and had to peel the burnt off. I don’t need to break a tooth. Plus the bacon was on one side of the bagel. Ok so I put some on the other side. Not a big deal but I shouldn’t have to do that. Maybe they were having a bad morning. Who knows. But, we will go back. The bagels were good and the selection of bagels and spreads were amazing. So much to choose from. So yes I will go back and try something else. Don’t skip this place because of one burnt bagel. I’m not mad just let down. Next time it will be on point. And I forgot to take pictures because we were so hungry looking for a breakfast...
Read moreI have been here twice in the past month and have left quite disappointed both times. Firstly, I have no issues with the service, as the folks behind the counter are all friendly and courteous. What I do take issue with is the food and the prices. The prices are truly outrageous. $14 for a turkey club with microwaved bacon and a quarter pound of turkey is highway robbery. After eating it, I was still hungry. Additionally, $6.00 for an egg and cheese on a bagel that contains a mediocre microwaved egg and a sliver of cheese is unacceptable. The eggs are not even fresh, as the place does not have a grill! The bagels are average and nothing special, as they are thin and tasteless--not chewy and doughy. There are much better places in Great Barrington --avoid...
