City Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Great Falls

Went to city brew on 2-18-23. I decided to go into the lobby because I was driving a truck and I didn’t feel comfortable going through the drive-through. I walked in and I felt immediately not a good vibe going on in this establishment. I waited four minutes while three people walked by me continually didn’t even even look my way that worked there by the way didn’t ask me if I needed help or if I was ready to order anything. Finally one of the girls came over and took my order but I felt like I was bothering her. She told me what my amount was going to be so I asked her if I need to scan my gift card and she says …Oh I’m gonna have to redo it all over again I thought you were paying . I asked her if she was going to ask me for my name or scan because I do have their perks and that was a whole issue. I guess if a place of business is going to offer some sort of perks. They should maybe ask their guests/customers if they have a rewards card with them or a perk card. How many disappointed in the customer service yesterday I could see if they were busy, but I was the only one ordering and there were a few people in the lobby. Other than that in the drive-through wasn’t even busy. I tried to support local and I try to support small businesses, but if I’m going to be treated that way I might might as well go to Starbucks and get good service …do better City Brew… I tried calling this morning morning which is February 19, 2023 to speak to a manager and nobody would...

We were driving along and spotted City Brew so we decided to stop and try it out.

I bought a pumpkin spice latte. It was actually very good. I could taste the coffee they put in and it really wasn't that bad. The wife got a Mango smoothie, and BOY WAS IT SWEET! They don't use real mango pieces, they use a syrup that is packed solid entirely of sugar syrup with mango flavoring. We also got two pieces of their pumpkin bread, which was actually not too bad. It's nothing like homemade, but still not bad.

They originally forgot my mango smoothie, but their window server (drive-thru) was very kind, and went and got it for us right away.

I feel this store has very good intentions, however they are definitely going the cheaper route for their products. I also see many other negative customer reviews and I see where they are coming from, however, they are mostly just too picky, or are trying to sound smart and/or tough.

I gave it 4 stars because all-in-all, not too bad. Staff (met one) was very friendly. They lose a star because the owner doesn't appear to be in this business to satisfy the customer, they're only in it to make money. This would probably be why they aren't using higher quality...

I have been here several times over the last year. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They know their products well and are willing to tell you anything you want to know about them! A little spendy...cheaper than Starbucks. But NOT outrageously priced, $5.50-$6.00 for a Large, and ALL caffeinated drinks come with 3 shots standard! (I get 4, but I'm a coffee fiend!☕☕☕)... ANNND... ALL their drinks...BOTH hot and cold, blended or steamed...are all "just a lil bit of heaven! Not really kid friendly.. definitely more of an adult time out for coffee,scone, biscotti type of place. But they DO make caffeine free drinks as well!( I know! Right!?). 😲🥺 The seating is a little cold and impersonal, feels like you are far away from your companions...Could use a more "Central Perk" from "Friends "look, but it is clean and friendly. I will continue to go back as long as they are open and running. A customer for life I hope. My go to...
