We have taken our 7 month old puppy here twice for daycare, the first time was totally fine and went great! This last time was incredibly disappointing. I donāt know if itās a staff changeover or what happened. I went to drop our pup off on my way out of town for a work trip. We live about 25 minutes outside of great falls, and when I arrived the front desk associate informed me that he was due for a shot and they had called our vet the day prior and he needed another booster. This all turned out to be a mistake by our vet and was resolved as he had all his shots. They basically told me, as Iām standing there car packed for a 6 hour drive to Eastern Montana, that Iāll need to take my dog almost half an hour home in the opposite direction because they couldnāt take him. No one thought to call me and ask the day before so I could have sorted things out? They called my vet a day before but couldnāt call me? They just thought they would wait until I arrived with the dog to tell me this. They even told me I should just go over to North 40 and get the vaccine and do it myself. I was furious. We sorted it out as best we could and they ended up taking our dog in for daycare. I paid for both days and left. My boyfriend went to pick up our pup after work that day and they gave him a hard time saying that the day hadnāt been paid for. At some point they found a sticky note saying I had paid. The place is so disorganized. Again Iām trying to be understanding and patient but it was just one thing after another. They had notified us that our dog had a gash on his ear and would put antibiotics on it but when he was picked up it was dirty and crusted over with dirt and blood. Heās a puppy, they play I get it but at least clean it up. Day two of daycare, he picks up our dog and he is completely caked in dust and dirt. We had to give him a bath before we could even bring him inside. For what it costs you think if a dog gets really dirty in their care that they could at least rinse them off. If they had called me and let me know I would even have been happy to pay for a bath. We board with another facility in town and thought weād try Fetch for daycare but that will be the last...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful staff but... Fetch has been a wonderful resource for daycare and boarding for our pup. Our pup is a rescue who needed to learn his manners so we learned about Fetch when looking for adult dog trainers. Karen and her class were great even after we discovered pup needed more training than the class was designed for. Front staff have always been polite, accommodating, and ready to help or answer questions. HOWEVER, communication and possibly management is lacking. As stated above, our pup needs more training and we wanted to stay with Fetch since it had been such a positive experience prior. But no one would call us back to establish said training. We have requested multiple times and left multiple messages for the trainers and haven't heard a word. Because pup was also in daycare and had gotten behavior notes before, we wanted to get the training ASAP. It has unfortunately come to the point that we are now looking for other sources of training entirely. We also have the misfortune of being disinvited from daycare, which we fully understand for safety and staff maintenance. But this brings up another issue with COMMUNICATION. After the first notes on the negative behavior, whenever we picked pup up, we asked how he behaved trying to see if our home attempts were helping. For two weeks, we were told pup was doing great, he was a good boy, no problems, no issues. And then we were blindsided with a call from the daycare manager describing how horrible pup had been behaving and so he can no longer partake in daycare unless he gets some more training... which we'd been trying to get for well over a month at ā¦this point. Again, I have no qualms with being disinvited if pup is dangerous and causing problems. We're trying to get him help to fix them. But when we ask for feedback and help and we don't get either, it's exceedingly frustrating. Because of all of this, Fetch Pet Boutique has lost us as customers and we will be seeking training and boarding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time I have used a boarding service and the last time. Highly disappointed. I boarded my dog Friday and Saturday with friends picking up Sunday. I wanted my guy to be able to play with various other dogs so he could become more socialized and expel his energy. I added training, daycare and treat services. They are to send you a report card and pictures. Unfortunately I did not get the report card until after business hours on Saturday. I had left two numbers for friends authorized to pick him up and make medical decisions in my absence. All four of my dogs pads are tore up from him playing on the concrete. They have a huge fenced grass area that I assumed he'd be playing in. They never called my friends to alert them... they knew to email me due to being in a Wi-Fi area only but instead sent report cards via text so I never got them. Both Friday and Saturday photos look virtually the same if him in a kennel. When I got back I went in to inquire and waited 20 min for someone to come out front. The girl standing behind counter didn't know but said the dogs play on the concrete area because the grass area was muddy. She called the trainer who was the only one to notice he was limping and put salve on it and ordered rest. My dog is not used to playing on hot concrete so whether or not he played to hard or if it was because it was hot doesn't matter...dogs should not be playing on concrete when there is a grassy area in addition to a large indoor area. They never bothered to call the emergency contact who could have picked him up and taken him to a vet or at minimum taken him home with them to make him comfortable. They got the reservation wrong three times and failed to notify via report card. They ruined the experience for my guy and myself. He's a happy go lucky puppy who just wanted some new friends to play with and instead was hurt and the failure to notify is...
