Preface: I had pictures to attach to this review; however, the system wouldn't allow me to post them for some reason so looks like this review is just filled with words...
On 10 Aug 2024, my family and I required some much needed liquid fuel and a snack after a series of morning/afternoon events. Since I'm not from this area, I did a quick search and found this place - this coffee shop had some wonderful reviews, so naturally my curiosity pulled me towards this business. When we arrived, I was met with the wonderful surprise of having zero cars in the parking lot and zero customers in the shop (seems the majority of customers utilize the drive-thru more often than walking in). Living in the busy city of Las Vegas, I don't often get the opportunity to experience an empty parking and/or dining area, therefore, this visit was very comfortable and relaxing.
The coffee shop was beautiful inside and out; the décor was phenomenal. The employees were extremely friendly which was refreshing considering some of the unfriendly folks I've experienced while visiting this city. Our cashier was notably terrific (didn't get her name, but she was wearing a "Pav" from Across the Spider Verse shirt) - she was very friendly and professional.
We ordered the Hot Butterbeer Latté, Hot True Turtle, Cold Matcha Latté w/Strawberry, Plain Bagel w/Cream Cheese, and Cinnamon Coffee Cake. Normally, I'm not into those extremely sweet drinks because throughout the years, I've transitioned towards just black coffee. However, the Hot True Turtle was a refreshing change and wasn't prepared overly sweet - my family also enjoyed their drinks as well. The bagel was great; the coffee cake was interesting because while the flavor was magnificent, it also reminded me of bread pudding...which isn't necessarily bad, just took me by surprise. Though, I was hoping for more of a "Hostess Coffee Cake" type of flavor.
The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable...no one should complain about the prices at this place because I've experienced coffee shops on the pricier side before and this business doesn't even come close to that type of pricing. If you're a local or visiting this city, I highly recommend this coffee shop; the coffee quality and astounding customer service were...
Read moreI want to start this off with the fact that I love True Brew and have gone there every single day for years, Iâve spend thousands of dollars there, great service I love the people. BUT the white chocolate was changed and it is absolutely horrible going with any lotus drink which is all I get there, the employees have tried to make it somewhat more enjoyable trying to leave it out or trying to put the powder white chocolate in there and itâs just not the same. The new white chocolate is truly not meant for any drink that doesnât involve coffee (which I canât have) the lotus drinks are pretty much all I can have. And itâs not only me that doesnât like this new stuff. Since itâs been switched and we came to the conclusion that it just canât be substituted with anything else, I havenât gone back and it makes me super sad because I used to look forward to that every day. Bring back the original white chocolate!!! I miss...
Read moreI usually rave about tru bru but today was not a good experience. Got a salted caramel blended and it had a strange consistency like a thickener had been added to it? Strange. We also go a Carmelo cold brew and it had a lot of chocolate syrup in it which was never in it before when I got it. This time maybe there was a lot? Anyway, mentioned it to the barista and she just said itâs always like that. Iâm confused because itâs never been in my previous ones. She didnât offer to make one with less or no syrup. The atmosphere inside was loud with one barista yelling out orders very loudly. I usually love the chaos of music and orders going out but it just was over the top and not as...
