Jakers Bar and Grill

It had been about a year since we ate here because the food and service had been so poor but we thought we'd give it another chance. The server was great, but that was about where the good part ended. Ordered a strawberry lemonade but could barely drink it, I don't think there was anything but lemons, a few barely chppped strawberries, and water in the glass, so sour you couldn't drink it. Then we noticed that the prices have jumped over 35%. I know the price of everything thing has gone up so I wasn't surprised. Ordered a Caesar salad and the only flavor noticable was vinegar. And the four croutons placed on each corner of the plate?!? Next was Chicken á la Jakers with baked potato and chicken fried steak with tots. The chicken used to cover over 1/2 the plate, now it wouldn't cover 1/2 of a dinner salad plate! The baked potato wasn't even done, hard chunks of raw potato in the middle, I think they knew because they added about 1/2 cup of sour cream on top. The linguine was overcooked and absolutely no flavor at all. The chicken fried steak was obviously not made in house and most of it was hard crunchy assembly line breading. The tots might have been good except for the over abundance of salt, and we like salt! We expected the prices to be higher but to serve less than half of the previous portions plus over and under cooked food and poor quality food? We won't be trying this place ever again, we gave it a second chance and it failed miserably. But, the waitress was amazing!
