Getaway Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Green Bay

This is from my first time experiencing The Getaway since I always see it while going down Bellevue Street to get home. I came here on a whim because I was hungry and unsure exactly what I wanted for dinner. The building is bigger from how it looks outside.

It's not much different from a dive bar,the pizza choices aren't much and the crust is a premade thin crust just judging its appearance, but you can customize your toppings and they use real cheese. I know this because I watched the bartender assemble the pizza and they sprinkled on the mozzarella cheese. It's definitely a nice contrast from dive bars in Green Bay cooking pre-made pizzas. Clientele seems younger as well, but I would need to hang out here more to generalize.

Is the pizza good? It's good for what it's going for. I gone with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and jalapenos for toppings. The sausage is of good size and a spicy sausage like you would want. Mushrooms are a nice touch. Jalapenos are what you would expect since they are the standard pickled jalapenos. The least appealing of toppings I had was the pepperoni which they should look to find a brand that would have that ideal flavor. The sauce is alright too. The mozzarella cheese will be the winner because it is added on by hand and has that beautiful stringiness that would make any Wisconsinite orgasm!

Overall, I would say this is a good bar to go to and the pizza is alright despite the crust being a premade thin crust. Will I come here again? Yes I will! I like the whole vibe of this place and will get a pizza here again when I...

If you are black do not I repeat DO NOT walk into this bar unless you want to be embarrassed like me and my sister was! The bartender was rude and Belligerent and was arguing with my sister because she refused to believe that are Chicago Illinois ID belonged to us! In truth she just didn’t want to serve us because we were the only black women in the bar! She tried to embarrass us by being very loud and making a scene and she even asked another person at the bar having a drink to take a look at the ID. How unprofessional. Bartenders keep changing and everyone tells you different prices for the beers ,not to mention you will be lucky if they give a drinking token and been drinking during or after happy hr no matter how much you tip ,also the owner will come in and harass regulars and fight with bartenders an make the environment unwelcoming with making VERY RUDE COMMENTS TO WOMEN ,this is shady bar and DO NOT USE UR CARD THEY WILL OVER CHARGER YOU THINKING YOU...
