Upon being seated the waitress did not check back with us in a timely manner. As she was too busy fraternizing with her presumably regular customers. It was instantly made very clear that the staff picks and chooses favorites. Unless you are a frequent customer, you are at the bottom of their agenda. My father ordered a mediterranean omelette with a raspberry muffin top. The omelette was mediocre at best. The staff basically slapped it down on a plate, and put no effort or pride into the presentation of their food. Personally I just ordered coffee, and I’m glad that I did. When they set my fathers plate down, a sheer look of disgust ran across my face. My father then proceeded to tell our waitress how he could taste no raspberry in his RASPBERRY muffin top. There was a long pause until the waitress followed by saying “Interesting... because those are our raspberry ones”. I felt that the proper response should have been “Sorry Sir, would you like a new one?” Yet instead she made her rude statement, then got her manager. She was not at all discrete when complaining to her manager saying “He says he can’t taste any raspberry in his muffin. Do you want to go talk to him?” The manager then came over to the table, also very rude as if she had better things to do. She was not at all genuine when speaking to my father. This woman made me so upset by the way she was arguing with my father about a muffin.. I completely avoided eye contact because I was so displeased with her. She sat there and argued with my father, telling him how the little red chunks are about as much raspberry as you’re going to get. The new muffin top that was brought over was in no way similar to the one my father was first given. This new one was actually red, and actually looked like a raspberry muffin. I do not think they were the same muffin at all. I believe they brought out the wrong muffin to begin with. Instead of simply correcting their mistake, they acted as if they had done nothing wrong. I feel they could have handled the situation 10 times better, rather than making it out like my father was delusional. I do not recommend this specific Julies Cafe, as it was hard for me to bite my tongue due to the tone she had with my father. I have worked in many industries, food included. The proper protocol is that the customer is always right. It was a very UN enjoyable experience, and I will never be going back to this specific restaurant. It left such a bad taste in my mouth, that I don’t know if I will attend another Julies...
Read moreSad how things have gone down hill over the years. Used to be a great spot to eat, friendly staff, good prices. Haven't been here in around 2 years, and most definitely won't be back.
This review is from our visit on 10/26/2025 Family got here around 2pm, immediately noticed the tacky, giant "gambling" machines. Half the pies in their display are from either Costco or Sam's Club. They just pulled the price tags off of the containers
We were seated pretty quickly in booth, and they had a TV on the other side with a football game on. My youngest son is autistic, and loves football, so he was trying to see the game. I asked the young lady who seated us if it would be possible to move to the booth on the other side of the glass partitioned wall, so my son can see the game. She said it wasn't a problem.
As soon as we were seated, I heard a server who was wrapping silverware at the bar, who turned out to be our server, ask her "why are they seated in my area?" with a snarky tone.
She sits for a few more minutes, then gets up and comes to the booth. Mind you, were no more than 20 feet behind her. Sarah was cold, rude, and definitely had the "I don't want to be here" vibe.
My autistic son had finished his fries, and politely asked her "excuse me? Can I please get a refill on my fries?". She snapped back immediately with "uh, we don't refill fries. If you want more, you have to pay for it" with one of the most disrespectful tones I've heard towards a 12 year old.
I immediately turned around, while my wife grabbed my arm, knowing I was about to make a scene. I told her to get him his order and put it on my bill. And yes, when I said that, it was in a rude, harsh tone.
After all of that, she then comes over with the bill, just tosses it on the table and walks away.
I get that people have bad days, but when you're primary income is tips, maybe you should attempt to act nice.
After this, I can say with absolute honesty that we will never be back at a Julie's Cafe.
The level of attitude and disrespect that Sarah showed towards my family is...
Read moreVisited 11/29/22. Wow, what to say. First off, I got rock hard pressure fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were ok. I also got a salad for my second side that came with 75% carrots and cabbage, unripe tomatoes and an almost foot long black hair mixed in. My hair is purple so it certainly wasn't mine.
I told the waitress what was wrong when she asked why I didn't eat much. She went back to check with the cook who I guess is the owners brother. They gave me a one dollar discount and told me that if I even thought of leaving they have my vehicle plate numbers and were calling the police. That was not even an option on my part. So why they accused me of trying to leave without paying is beyond me. The guy wouldn't even come out to speak to me. I said the service was as disgusting as the food and I was then told that I didn't have to pay but was "banned" from coming back. I hope the owner reads this and can have a chat with his brother about customer service etiquette.
I want to make a point to say that the other 2 locations are NOT under the same ownership. I called to verify before I made this review as I have nothing but good things to say about the...
