Walked in and had order taken promptly. Only one griller with 3 staff members. The team lead was the only one who appeared to know what she was doing so we could assume the other two must be new. Ordered a pizza sub and a dagwood custom with medium fry and 2 drinks and 2 cookies. Seemed to be a bit of a wait but nothing wild. We were cashed out and the cashier did not get our fresh squeezed lemonade or hand us a cup for the fountain. He also did not give us our cookies. Began waiting and finally asked for our beverages and cookies whilst we waited. The cashier wasn’t doing much of anything but the register and taking an order here or there and answering the phone once before the team lead requested he not take any more phone orders. Not sure why we had to ask for our things. He seemed all over the place. Finally food starts to come out and the dagwood was missing lettuce as requested. Easy fix right? Ask for it and hand it back problem solved. Then my pizza sub comes out wrapped instead of presented for dine in. Fine no issue, I worked for the corporate store in Anderson Township I know it can happen sometimes when you’re going fast. What really bugged me though were the fries. On the side of my basket were my “medium” fries. The guy handed me less than a full size small fresh cut. I asked him “uh… is this a medium fry?” And he simply said “um yeah” not necessarily in a condescending way or anything but I was taken back by how this was acceptable portions. Knowing personally how much I should be receiving based on my past corporate training for this very restaurant I told him… “um, this is less than a small… yeah I definitely need more than that.” To which he took back the basket without question and dropped extra fries to satisfy my correction. Upon receiving my extra fries I was still met with not enough portioning for a Penn Station medium fresh cut fry but I was not about to ask for a 2nd time. I was hungry and annoyed, but went and sat down. I spent $4 on EXTREMELY skimpy fries that also had one or two accidental cold raw/blanched fries mixed in. The store was mildly clean but that could be forgiven for their seemingly light staff for the volume of business they had at the time. Having worked for Penn Station and knowing what to expect for such a hefty price tag, the food should be on point to help customers overlook it for happiness with size, portions, and Penn Stations good quality food. I left here not completely unsatisfied but not totally happy either. I would hate to see new customers come in and pay $4 for a big fry only to get the same amount I did. If I was a new customer I would probably never bother coming back for how pricey it was and how all those little details added up to a less than impressive experience. Employees were NOT rude and corrected as fast as they could but if they would have been any busier I would probably have been SOL. The team lead even stopped mid grilling to grab me a quick side of steak spice so I know they were trying but maybe some more intricate training...
Read moreRating not low enough. Called in an order for 2 subs and a lg fries. Nothing crazy. Arrived 15 min after I placed the order and waited for fries (as normal). I then proceeded to wait another 20 min in the store before receiving my order. There were 3 other people in the entire store, all also waiting for theirs. There were nearly twice the amount of workers as there were customers. Of those working, nobody was communicating, everyone was moving slow, and the manager was literally standing by watching everyone work. All of us were waiting on our fries, of which they only had 1 of 4 fryers running. After receiving my order I asked for vinegar and the cashier said "sure" only to immediately answer the phone and walk into the back room. When she returned she stood there until I finally asked her again. If that wasn't all bad enough, my fries were raw and limp, subs were cold (as they were ready when I walked in the door), and were wrapped as a sloppy mess along with the entire bag (picture attached). It was a Saturday night at dinner time. I don't doubt they may have had other online orders, but this is crazy. Will not be returning to this location.
Edit: This is the second time I received my food a sloppy mess. Only got mayo and teriyaki and ordered light on both cause I know this has been an issue here. View the second picture to see their...
Read moreI’m now editing my review as today 4.28.18 we returned to Penn Station and the staff were much more pleasant and friendly and my food was amazing today. I have a feeling the manager who I had a slight argument with last time remembered who I was as he took our order today. I don’t know his name but thank you for the changes at your establishment. It is very much appreciated!
;We order 2 chicken teriyaki sandwiches. One with extra mushroom no onion and the other with no mushroom no onion. It was ordered to go. When we opened our order at home the sandwiches were dry with no teriyaki sauce. I called and Ashley was nice and said if we bring our sandwiches back they will remake them. Perfect. That’s what we did. I walk into the store and the staff walked right passed me standing at the counter. Did not greet me or say hello. I had to say hi loudly to the female who I found out was Ashley that I spoke to on the phone, before she answered hello back she stared at me and paused then decided to say it. The manager who was talking to me while my food was being remade slightly argued with me until I basically told him in so many words the sandwiches that were made were dry and crappy and customer is right. He then proceeded to tell Ashley how to make them. I’m not home yet with my food but I hope it’s correct when...
