I have never ordered from DMV Pizza and after reading the reviews I was hesitant but I decided to give them a try anyway, boy was that a mistake. I ordered a large NY style pepperoni pizza, the "chicken box" which was 5 whole wings, fries and a soda and a slice of cheesecake which totaled around $33 for 8pm pickup via the Slice app. I also purchased the coupon voucher for $25 that gave me $30 worth of food at this DMV Pizza location per their Yelp page prior to arriving.
I arrived at 7:55pm to pick up my order and upon entering the store my first reaction is the store looked pretty dated, sloppy/unorganized looking and dirty. It also smelled like dirty grease from the deep fryer which immediately made my stomach turn and I just prayed I didn't get sick from the food. I walked to the counter and an older black guy took my name and started to ring me up. He told me they no longer have the "Chicken box" which has the 5 whole wings and asked if I wanted 10 bone-in wings instead, I said fine. Funny thing is they have their menu's on the counter and they STILL advertise this "Chicken box" and someone else even called when I was standing there and asked for the same item. Why wouldn't you update your menu selection if items are no long available? Doesn't this seem self-explanatory? So my pizza was already made ready to go when I arrived and it just sat on the counter as they started to make my wings not even under a heat lamp, great now I'm going to have a $17 cold pizza.
The cashier then wanted to take my money while I wait and I explained to him I had a $30 voucher which I purchased on Yelp and he said we don't accept that and I have never seen it before. I said Well I already paid the $25 and I am not just going to let that go, so I ultimately only owed DMV Pizza around $3 after my $30 voucher but the cashier wouldn't accept it. So he had to call his manager and he had to come in to take care of it, talk about miscommunication and poor business practice. The cashier gave off the impression that I was trying to screw him over with some fake coupon and I even told him to look it up on Yelp for yourself, what a joke.
So finally about 8:30pm the owner, his wife and two kids showed up and his wife was the first to enter the establishment. She asked me for the voucher and immediately told me they do not take those, just like the cashier and this obviously made me very irritated. The owner finally came in a minute or two later and said OK no problem and finally accepted the voucher and I paid my remaining balance of $3. How does the wife of the owner not even know they offer these vouchers? And if the doesn't then maybe she shouldn't speak for the owner?
The owner finally gave me my Pizza and a bag of food, I walked out to my car about to leave and I said to myself you better check the bag before you leave and low and behold it was missing my Fries and my slice of cheesecake, fantastic! I then had to walk back into the store and wait another 10 minutes for them to make my fries and get me my slice of cheesecake and at 8:40pm I finally had the food I paid for.
Talk about a complete ClusterF... The only reason I am leaving 2 out of 5 stars is the cold food didn't taste too bad when I finally got around to eating it but I will NEVER step foot in this store again.
So ultimately this was my experience...
-Wouldn't take the pre-paid $25 for $30 voucher from Yelp. -Acted as if I was a thief trying to get one over on them. -Forgot my Fries and cheesecake. -8:00pm pickup which turned into 8:40pm.
I am sorry but with an experience like this, this establishment...

If you’re in Maryland and craving a slice, DMV Pizza is the spot you don’t want to miss! I tried them on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad I did. Right from the moment you walk in, you can smell that perfect, fresh-baked aroma that tells you this pizza is going to be something special.
First off, the crust: it’s the ideal balance between chewy and crispy. You can tell they don’t skimp on quality here. The crust holds up the toppings without feeling heavy, and there’s a subtle hint of flavor to it that you don’t usually get with most places—it’s like they’ve perfected the dough recipe over years.
Now, let’s talk about the sauce and cheese. The sauce is just the right amount of tangy and sweet, with a hint of garlic that pairs beautifully with the cheese. And wow, the cheese! They use a generous amount, and it melts perfectly, with that delicious stretch when you take a bite. It’s obvious they’re using high-quality ingredients; this isn’t just any pizza, it’s a DMV Pizza experience.
Their toppings are fresh and flavorful, and they really pile them on. I went for a classic pepperoni, and each slice had the perfect amount of crisp pepperoni cups that were full of flavor. They offer a good variety of toppings, so you can really make your pizza your own.
Overall, DMV Pizza is a 10/10 for me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or ordering a full pie, you’re in for a treat. This has quickly become my go-to pizza place, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves quality pizza! Hey and that guy always has a smile you...
Read moremy office used to RAVVVVEEEE over this pizza and the food all was so delicious. What happened to this place just 2 months ago we were in love with the food now both today and yesterday we have been greatly disappointed. Is it new management or a new cook, yuck I have to find a new spot now because this is terrible. we ordered multiple x-large pizzas yesterday and before it would be melty hot and cheesy and delicious and not a scrap would be left. This time there was a whole pizza and a half left I was shocked. It tasted like day old 711 pizza at best no flavor minimal cheese and dry as cotton. last weekend a coworker ordered wings and they were still pink on the inside. Today i ordered wings and fries, and now i fear for salmonella because my wings were still damn near flapping and they just had some buffalo sauce splashed on them. I didn't even like the way the cashier took my money, before the guy was so nice and spoke and made eye contact and was so welcoming one of the main reason my office gave them such large orders. Get it back together DMV...
