I wanted to share a very bad experience that we have (my family and I) at Chevys located at 7511 Greenbelt Road.
We stop by Chevys on Friday Sep/22/2023 because we really love this food, sadly we were kicked out from the manager.
We arrived around 5:00pm that day for dinner and a very kind lady was our server, we started ordering 2 sampler platters to share with the family, after 20 mins the first plate arrive, we was waiting for the second plate to share about 25 mins more, also waiting for silverware and small plates to share. I asked 2 times to a different server for small plates to start eating but sadly after 25 mins the second plate arrive with the silverware and small plates ( we ate the first sampler platter very cold).
The lady (our server) took our order and we had to wait around 25 more minutes for the food, my mom ordered green enchiladas I believe, but they brought a different dish with other king of enchiladas (that was the first plate), we was waiting for the rest of the food for about 10-15 more mins, finally the food was arriving but they brought 2 more plates (steak and shrimps) for my dad and brother, they asked for medium cook steak but it was very dry and well done.
After 10 mins more food was arriving wich was vampire tacos I think, but my wife and I were still waiting for our food.
My daughters ordered 2 steaks quesadillas and the little one ordered a cheese quesadilla, sadly they never got their food.
I called the manager 3 times with 3 different servers and finally the manager showed up with a smell of weed, I kindly explained what happened with all the mistakes and I told him that my wife and I were waiting for our food and he told me that he will make our food very special. We ordered fajitas with steak and shrimps, after 15 minutes waiting the food arrive with steak and pulled pork wow, this was too much for me and I called the manager again to ask him what’s happened and he told me that they don’t have enough people working and the server (the lady) is a new worker with no experience at all. The lady was in front of us and was just about to cry.
The manager asked me to bring an alcoholic drink for free for the bad experience but we are a Christian family, my kids were there and he was offering alcohol wow.
I asked to take away the last 2 plates and I asked them for the check (also took around 10 more mins just to print the check). Please check the cameras inside the restaurant as a proof that it’s true.
The host at the entrance heard that we were talking about the bad service and he kindly asked us what’s happening and I explained to him and he told me that a lot of people is reproaching for the bad service at that location and gave me this email to let you know our experience.
Im just letting you know this bad incident because we want to share good food with our family, they are traveling and they now have a very bad opinion of Chevys, I know that things like that should not happen but if we don’t say anything it will happen again and again.
Please help this place to have a better service and a better customer service, especially changing bad habits of smoking weed while on duty.
I hope this...
Read moreLet me just start by saying I don’t normally leave reviews but my experience here was so bad I wouldn’t want anyone to experience this so I had to share. My wife and I were taking someone out to celebrate their birthday. We had reservations for 4pm and when we arrive we were greeted by the host. This young lady was not pleasant at all. (The place was not packed out the door and wait was not long even if you didn’t have reservations) she had an attitude as if she didn’t want to be at work. She tells us that it would be about 5 minutes to get the table ready and that was absolutely fine. She then tells us the table is ready and to follow her only to arrive at a table that had not been cleaned or prepared. We had to stand to the side as they cleaned the table in front of us. We still let that go. We sat down and were greeted by our waiter Charles who led with Im training. As we started to order, half of the items requested were not available, we still compromised for what was available. The waiter brought the whole table waters in cups that were filthy and even had lip prints on them with no straws and when I pointed it out he had an attitude as if he didn’t bring them to us in that manner. He did return with clean cups and apologized but then brought us a pack of straws that weren’t individually wrapped and we all picked out our own. My whole table said I wonder how many other bands went in this bag. One of our guests ordered a Corona which he said they did have. After time passed and everyone got their drinks we asked about the Corona and he said sorry the bar was backed up. (Again the place wasn’t busy) I eventually walked to the bar myself to ask about the beer and the bartender tells me they didn’t have any Corona. When asked ok again what do you have the waiter gives us an option for another beer, he put in the order and comes back about another 20 minutes later saying that was also out of stock. We asked to speak to a manager and no one came. The waiter then served another table much more pleasant and faster. Bypassing our table several time the other table ordered ate and paid way before we found out what was in stock. It was a horrible experience. We again told the waiter to bring the manager back and he eventually did. I explained everything from dirty cups to poor service and attitudes and all he said was I’m sorry I hope you dine again and walked away. This place is being managed horribly. We paid and left and still graciously left a tip because we understand how wait staff is normally paid but even if the whole bill was covered my family and I will NEVER return to this restaurant. A lack of organization, management and accountability is clear and present with just one experience. Also, we chose to hold our bathroom trips until we went home. The bathrooms were filthy!! This was unacceptable and you would think with coronavirus they’d be much more precautious serving the community. If I could give this establishment a 0...

My family and I LOVE Chevy's! We always stop by there whenever we go to a University of Maryland ladies basketball game. We were truly disappointed from the time we walked in until the time we left. So much so, my husband said, "well, we need to find a new place to eat after the games, because we won't be coming back here anytime soon".
The hostess was sitting back looking at her her phone when we walked in and cheerfully said hello to her...she clearly appeared like we interrupted her or she didn't want to be bothered.
My daughter and I went into the ladies room, only to find 0 toilet paper in all stalls except the handicap stall, which we don't like using because someone who needs it may enter the restroom and we would feel terrible. But even in that stall, there was VERY LITTLE toilet paper in there. The door to the stall doesn't fully shut and it doesn't lock, so zero privacy there. As we washed our hands we noticed all three paper towel holders were completely empty, there were used paper towels all over the floor, and there was a dirty fork in there on the floor. It was so gross we almost left the restaurant without eating.
Once I saw my husband was already seated and a server had already began getting drink orders, we decided to stay.
When we were there two weeks ago, we received three little cups of salsa (one for each of us), and a basket of chips, which we thought was really nice since COVID is still a real thing and dipping into the same salsa probably isn't the most hygienic thing to do. Anyway, during this visit, we received one small salsa for all three of us. We asked for an additional one and we ordered the conqueso appetizer, both which seemed to get forgotten about. Our food came out (all much smaller portions with the exact same price tag as previous visits), before the appetizer. We had to "remind" our server multiple times for the appetizer and salsa. We did finally get them, but then he disappeared when we wanted to ask for extra napkins and refills on our drinks. After asking for our check, he disappeared again and we had to sit and wait another 10-15 minutes to pay the bill.
We know times are tough (figured the smaller portions for the same amount of money are just a sign of the times). I still tipped the server 20%... because I've worked in the field and know most are just trying to make ends meet, but the service we received didn't even deserve 10%, and I am sure others would have been sure to complain or would have walked out without leaving any tip. We just decided we won't be back.
The restaurant was not busy, so giving good service and a clean restroom to those of us who do still come in for a meal, and who do still leave good tips for the servers, shouldn't be too...
