Peggy Ann Bakery — Restaurant in Greeneville

I will lead in saying I am a bit of a bakery freak. No matter where I am, I have to stop by a local bakery and see what makes it unique and of course try some food.

Their donuts are HUGE and well worth the price, which is extremely fair. I don't think I can ever eat at Dunkin Donuts again after this! Fortunately I run so I can afford to have a donut every so often! I think my favorite is the maple bacon (pictured bottom right in box). But the creme filled (pictured in my hand) is so big I skipped lunch! The raspberry is a favorite of my mother's. I like the lemon but I wish it was a lemon creme and not a lemon filled.

Next up are the cakes. The butter cream frosting is very rich and sugary but not to the point that you feel ill. It draws the line at no less than perfect in my book! Their cake decorators are top notch and can make almost anything you desire! Plus there is no fondant so it is truely...

The best bakery ever! They make the best eclairs and chocolate danish. I have been stopping at this bakery since I was a little girl and I remember them always having something fresh coming out especially Donuts, donut holes, etc. I absolutely loved stopping here to get an eclair or freshly dipped into the chocolate donut. I have ordered their cakes and never been disappointed with those as I especially like how they do the miniatures for the first birthday to mimic the large cake for everyone. I still have some great memories of my little girl diving into that Care Bear cake they had made her. I will continue to recommend Peggy Ann's bakery because even now they still have a great staff of people who know what they're doing and who are kind and efficient...

Was in the area for a dentist appointment early morning. Wanted some donuts for breakfast, but not DD (because yuck) and not in the mood for grocery store bakery. Found this bakery on Google Maps, figured what the heck, why not? SO. GLAD. I. STOPPED. IN. Wow, donuts were amazing. Tried the glazed, Boston Creme, and Apple Fritters. I typically don't even like apple fritters because everyone makes them so dry and there's rarely any actual apple pieces. These were so moist and soft and they had apple slices in them.
