I had the opportunity to stay at this location on 09/20/23. I arrived after 830pm. Went to the office where I found that they check in at a small window outside under the portico. I was given the room, and it was adequate. The TV is screwed into the armoire shelf. Each chair you fall into (sink hole). King size bed has collapsing mattress; we're everyone has sat before, edges. Towels were stark white, flooring great but gritty. People hang outside rooms. Sketchy guy even went in his room; after I passed him outside upon arrival, he opened his curtains with the light out to give a disgusting vision freak show. You hear the cars and car doors shut, the engine starts, and the restaurant patronage from next door until the restaurant closes. There is no need for an alarm clock. You will be awaken by the above. Breakfast was vending machine items. Muffins in cellophane, apples, cereal in the little single serve and oatmeal packs. Now, here's more. I work for a trucking company we're if the people are mixed gender. One person gets the room, and the other sleeps in the truck. I, being female, had the room. The guy gets to use the room to shower, groom, and eat breakfast the next morning. So when I passed the key on to my trainer. The key had already been deactivated. He went to the office a d I felt it would be a problem so something told me to go. Sure enough by the time I got there, he said the male desk agent (which by the way is a husband and wife team that reside in the first room by the office) told him I needed my ID. I gave him the key to reprogram for entry, and he confiscated it and said that for an additional person, it would be $20. Mind you, all of the company hotel reservations are paid for in advance and never have any other hotels required such. I mentioned to him that we are company drivers and the use of the room is for both parties once the other has departed the room. 6:30 am my trainer now has no shower, no food, can't brush his teeth. Might have been in the room for 30 minutes. This guy did not allow him access. When I stated I would review the location, he stated that he made the decisions. So I then told him, "If I can stop 2 - 3 people from booking here?" I have done my diligence to the public. Don't even think twice about booking here. The restaurant next door is Mexican cuisine. You also must make U-turns to access location due to highway and grass median. Microwave and fridge in room. Four lamps and one didn't work at all. The shower also dripped...

The doors (in need of repair), walls and ceilings (crack/stains) need some serious TLC! The furniture (outdated/writing/stains), towels and bed dressings (stains/holes) need to be replaced. The room has an unpleasant odor to it and the bathroom is so uncomfortably small with a light that feels like you're being cooked from the heat of it! This hotel needs a serious revamp/remodel AND better cleaning practices!
On a smaller complaint scale, I think it would be beneficial to have "Do Not Disturb" signs available for guest use, because some guests would like to be left to their privacy during their stay (I know I like to do work on my laptop without being disturbed), and instructions set on the table or posted inside the room somewhere explaining things like breakfast or other services, which, you could work on your breakfast options, as well. Yours are pretty non-existent. Another thing, I know at another hotel I stayed at, I really liked that they instructed us to leave towels/trash outside to be picked up instead of the awkwardness of trying to do cleaning while the guest is inside the room. They even explained in the posting when cleaning service takes place. The hotel was visibly clean, updated, spacious, and well taken care of. The complete opposite of this hotel, I'm sorry to say.
Unfortunately you cannot do anything about the busy traffic, but maybe you could do something about the paper thin walls that pick up every small sound??
If there were pros to be had, I have not seen any bugs and the use of the microwave/fridge inside of the room is a big plus. I'm so grateful to have a place to store insulin and keep water cold, as well as having the option to cook/reheat food. And, the area does not seem unsafe. The town seems peaceful enough. I wish I could say more positive things.
I don't mean for this to be anything other than constructive criticism. Shouldn't you want a business that is beautiful and people do nothing but rave about it? I know I would!
If you make these changes, I promise you, you will hear nothing but good if you are consistently doing everything you can to make everything clean and beautiful! And everyone will want to stay here! What's better than a less expensive, beautiful, clean place to lay your head down at night during your travels?? Think...
Read moreWhen we arrived for our check-in. We had booked 1 king non-smoking and 1 double queen non-smoking for 4 nights. I paid $30 more for the king. My husband called the night before to try to have the rooms closer and they were able to do so. We walked into the rooms and both rooms were double queen beds. I asked the lady if she gave me the wrong room because I booked a king. The owner came out and said that they didn't have a king room and that when he posts his availability that third parties do not always update it (I've never had this issue when booking third party). We decided to stay the first night because we didn't have anywhere else to go. The room was disgusting to say the least. The surrounding area is sketchy. I grew up in this town and never have I seen a hotel so horrible. The towels were scratchy with black stains on them (they only gave two), the sheets had bodily fluid stains, the mattresses were old and tore up, the bathtub faucet leaked, the floor was making our feet and socks black like it hadn't been mopped, my husband woke up with ants in his drink, the shower had a soft spot in the floor , the door was missing its security lock and the free wifi is someones hotspot. We mentioned the ants to the front desk and they said they would spray while we were gone. We came back and the spray was sitting outside and our door was cracked open with all of our belongings inside. They had used outdoor use only bug spray inside the room. We decided at that point that we did not want to stay there anymore and we got our things and checked out. We were charged for 1 night for both rooms even though the other did not get used or slept in. The only thing I liked is that we were close to where we needed to be. Please don't be dumb like me and not read...
