La Perla Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Greeneville

This place is getting bad, it used to be really good but the last few times goin here they have messed up and this time it took the CAKE for me, they gave my food to another person and they looked it over then eventually they took the plate and brought it straight to me and I'm like I'm sorry I can't do that so she took it back after being VERY VERY RUDE SAYING O MY GOD AND BROUGHT THE SAME PLATE BACK .. which I wasn't stupid they never did replace it, same green plate and wasn't hot but I prayed over it tho, then they talk about u and u can tell they r so we will not be back here, Cancun is a lot better.. it wasn't worth $38 either and they didn't want to do anything had to ask for more salsa and refill on drink and took forever on salsa but eventually she did after we had to ask another young waitress because she refused to come back to our table she is a bad waitress her name was Lopez...

I love Mexican food (yes, the real stuff from down south and the Tex-Mex both). I don't often find a place that serves excellent authentic and Tex-Mex both but La Perla was fantastic.

I had the fajitas and as the portions were large and quite hot. Excellent! The vegetables were still crisp and the meat was flavorful. My only problem was getting more tortillas.. but that was because they were making them fresh (not steamed or rewarmed).

Others in the family had burritos, tacos, etc... and it was all plentiful and delicious.

Be sure to try the horchata! It is a rice drink that is served cold and is sweet to the taste. It is as close as I have found to horchata that I fell in love with in Guadalajara!

The atmosphere here is open and friendly... and the staff is very friendly.

This place is just awesome, we stopped by on our way through from Knoxville. Not only is it open at times most other places are closed making it very convenient, but the food here is incredible. I go to many mexican restaurants and am tired of them all feeling the same but this place definitely stands out, everything is very fresh and made to order. The sauces are incredible too, and our waitress Perla could not have been any more helpful or hospitable.
