Smokin Pig BBQ — Restaurant in Greeneville

It was our first time there as we are out of towners driving through, They made our anniversary lunch horrible, the reason we stayed was my husband is diabetic and his sugar was dropping and we were starving and we didn’t know the area and we googled restaurants and this place popped up first, and was closest to us. The young girls working that day were absolutely horrible! Very impersonal didn’t want to be there and definitely did not want to be taking orders. When asked what would be good to order, she had attitude and said i don’t know it’s up to you. When asked about the sides she couldn’t even tell us what they were just pointed to a wall where the menu was, as I said it was our first time we didn’t know what would be the best to order so we were talking about it ( the ONLY ONES THERE WERE MY HUSBAND AND I) She was aggravated with us Being indecisive she said just get a platter it’s bbq with no bun and two sides. So we figured what the heck we will give it a try so my husband said he wanted that the platter with a baked potato and beans she told him that he couldn’t have a baked potato with beans he had to chose one or the other. So he picked baked potato and then she says they are out of baked potatoes and it will take 45 minutes to make one so he will have to chose something else. He finally was able to order, I asked if the potato salad was good she said probably you will just have to get it and see. We placed our order, got our drinks and my husband and I waited at the counter for our food( which is what she told us we had to do because she ain’t bringing it to us)when it was finally ready she brought it out and just slung it down on the counter instead of being pleasant she just said here and walked back in the back. You could hear her and the girl in the back talking about why we had to stop there and ask so many questions she said it’s bbq just pick something it’s the same everywhere and was complaining about being there and couldn’t wait to close up, when someone else pulled up she said why do they have to come here can’t the just go somewhere else. Just plain ugly attitude and rude! Really was a horrible anniversary lunch experience. Just beware going...

Wife wanted to go here because of the reviews. Pulled pork wasnt pulled more like shredded. Smoked sausage wasnt smoked was boiled. Beans tasted like a bean medley in spaghetti sauce. Mac and cheese tasted like stouffers you get from store and potato salad tasted like it was brought in. They ran out of atleast 3 items by the time of writing this. Thats just over an hour after opening. Wife liked the potato salad and the bites from my sandwich. I usually eat everything and i just couldnt at this place. Ceiling panels were stained. We had 7 dollar lunches each but i dont know if i feel even that was worth it. Hope they see this and fix it fast! I will comment when...

Do NOT pass by this joint!! Stopped in for late lunch and HOLY COW...or HOLY PIG!! I had the 3 meat sampler..3 meats and 2 sides..I chose pulled pork..pork loin and sliced chicken! Everything was melt in Your mouth tender..juicy and smoked to PERFECTION! Beans were exceptionally different!! And smashed potatoes were also!! Wife had the piggy tater and LOADED doesn't even begin to describe it! Every thing was spot on! Their BBQ sauces were very tasty..the Carolina was the best I've had..ANYWHERE!
